Appreciate your love for outdoors. More kids should drop gaming and snacking. They will fall in love with nature if they go backpacking ❤️🦚

“Type Two Fun” is a terrific phrase! What a great way to summarize the challenging, yet enjoyable.

This was my first backpacking trip too :) It was very hard though and I didn't complete the entire loop thanks to the extreme cold at night (and some mistakes along the way). But it was a lot of fun. Thanks for the video, brought back some good memories.

Well done sir. I'm planning an AT thru-hike next year and love seeing your experience on the approach trail. Your attitude is excellent. You're going to go far kid.

Great video. Aman what month did u go ? I'm in Florida, trying to avoid that summer humidity .
@AmanLuthra2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I went in late May of 2021, and it was humid but because you’re in the mountains you don’t feel it as much. If you’re trying to avoid the summer heat then I would avoid anytime from May to September. Otherwise, go for it!

Great video, congrats to you, love your attitude! My cousin and I talked about hiking on the A.T. when we were teenagers, but never did. Now at age 65 I have some arthritis in my feet which curtails too much activity, so indeed, don't put it off, do it while your young!
@AmanLuthra3 жыл бұрын
I’m very sorry you have to deal with that. I’m still not sure that I really want to hike the whole trail, but I do want to get out as much as possible! I hope you feel better!

Doing this as well next weekend for my first backpacking trip and my first solo. Was the campsite after the summit of Springer crowded?
@AmanLuthra2 жыл бұрын
I went in early June so it was not. Most people will start the AT in March or April, so there may be more than what I saw. There’s a lot of campsites so you should be ok more likely than not. Good luck and stay safe!

Awesome video! Congrats on completing your first solo hike on the AT! I remember that feeling the first time I set out solo and awesome it felt once you achieved that goal. Are you planning to do more sections in Georgia? Now following #5!
@AmanLuthra3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! Yes, I do plan on doing more hikes in Georgia and around the southeast in the future. Let me know if you have suggestions. Stay tuned!

@@AmanLuthra I've hiked so many places all over the south there is too many to mention in one place. There is a ton of AT hiking videos and places to explore on my channel that might interest you for future videos. Would love to hear your feedback! Keep up the videos my friend. See you on trail!

Good video. How long did you take from top of Amicalola to Top of Springer ? And did you encounter bugs/insects ?
@AmanLuthra3 жыл бұрын
It was about 3.5 hours with breaks. There were a few bugs but it wasn’t too bad. Just be careful with ticks and you should be good!

Thinking of doing this solo trail. What should I keep in mind to do this?
@AmanLuthra3 жыл бұрын
It’s about 8.5 miles of mostly uphill to Springer. It took me about 3 hours to complete. I stayed at the campsite which is just 0.1 miles down the AT and there is a bear box as well as a water source. Let someone know where you are going, although I did have signal most of the way. If you have other questions please ask!
