Saw a black bear on the trail here just an hour or 2 after I began my hike, I'm not a well experienced hiker and I don't know much about black bears other then that they are scared shitless of humans, this piece of knowledge didn't help to rid myself of the fear and I quit the hike rather then hiking in perpetual fear the entire time, I plan on going again, this time with bear spray

hey no worries just grab that bear spray and youl feel way more comfortable i was hiking in Idaho and heard that a bear was within a half mile from our camp other hikers said it was a Grizzly very curious next day i got a big can of bear spray and was able to feel more comfortable on trail! happy hiking this NJ area is Amazing

I saw Julie's post a couple weeks ago explaining the decision to postpone continuing the hike. I'm glad you guys made the decision together. I think a thru hike involves a lot of variables, many beyond a hiker's control. I've enjoyed all of your vlogs. You guys take care.

thanks Brian! i missed the trail for a few weeks, but its 90s outside right now, so very happy to be home and comfortable. Were saving up to buy a house now.
