Now when you say cotton mouth you mean water moccasin? I live in Matoaca and Always look for the Moccasins, never seen any. Now I see Copperheads all the time. They seem to be non aggressive snakes. I’ve almost touched them by accident and they never once tried to strike me.

Ya the same this. A cottonmouth and a water moccasin are the same. I've had many encounters with copper heads over the years. These cottonmouths were far more aggressive.
