One of the most emotion filled days on trail we’ve ever had. I never told you this, but I think Chad’s decision to get off trail helped repair the rift we had brewing from the night before. I think it’s ironic sometimes how God works through situations like that to bring a greater good. So, I’m thankful for this day- for Chad’s health, and our friendship. Love you bro! Great shots along the way. Really like a frame you got of one of the clearings of Mt Cabot I missed along the way. Excited to see the rest from your lens.

@BluegrassBackcountry you're right. I've thought about that a few times. It's interesting to see how things happen. Love ya bro! Can't wait to see the same video from you 😆

Such a beautiful trail! The fall colors on Kilkenny Ridge are incredible, and the video really captures the peaceful vibe of the hike. It looks challenging but so rewarding. Really nice video 😃

Another great video! Tough L with Chad getting off trail, but the no sleep thing is normal. After long endurance events, it's more common than not to have terrible sleep. Backpacking across that kind of terrain would be just like running a trail marathon or ultra here in Kentucky. Add in the aggressive multi-day itinerary, brutal trail design/terrain/footing, and well, y'know, shit happens.

Night hiking fun 😁. Great job on the mileage. The cabin looks awesome to stay in. You’re going to Devil Shelter 🤔. Really beautiful out there brother 👊🏻 I hope Chad is okay

@LadyYoop Color in Kentucky is almost gone, too. I have a bright yellow maple outside my front window. The bottom half still has leaves on it. We wouldn't mind some of that white stuff, too! 🥰 We haven't had much since the Christmas of 2020. That was a beautiful Christmas!

@@Smokeybeesnatural I don't know what's coming. Last year, we had "the winter that wasn't"...mainly rain, we had snow, but not a$$ deep like it should be....I've read where it'll be another like last year, and I've read where it's gonna be a wild one. We shall see. I hope it's a wild one. I can't drive, don't do anything outside. Have one doc appt that CAN be done over the phone..the others are all next year, not in winter...so let it fly. I'm sorry to everyone that gotta go out in it...but i'd like a good one! lol When we were kids...holy wha....Climate change has def changed them...but i'm hoping for one more!

I am sure it was hard to lose one of your buddies. But glad he listened to his body and hiked out. Hope he gets to join you at the end! Ouch that noise egg on your arm looks awful familiar for me! I did the same thing but I was making lunch by the creek when my foot fell asleep and off I went into the creek when I stood up. Glad your ok though.

@tonyabrowninghikes listening to your body is the most important thing! It's funny how falling in the woods and getting a simple bump can be just as scary as something worse. I guess your mind worries more since finding help is harder in the woods.
