It is not easy to capture the majesty and power of mountains and rivers and also the delicate beauty of birds and flowers on video, but each frame here is a jewel. The skill in capturing these I believe lies is being bold enough to allow an image to breathe (so many you tubers cram in so much visual narrative), whilst the sounds broaden and deepen the experience. Thank you for taking us on your tour. PS the boulder field looks energy-sapping and relentless to traverse!

I don't need to even see the video before I like it. Nothing compares to a hike documented by Erik... I show your videos to all my friends who are into hiking, and I've bought equipment based on seeing you use it. I will walk 160km through the Tasmanian winter wilderness next month after many months of inspiration from your videos...

Be careful dude, your first trip being a 160km journey in freezing temperatures can end horribly if you don't prepare enough. Nature is no joke. It may be smart to bring some of your friends ;)

@@stormyboy129 I grew up in that Tasmanian wilderness in a house with no heating.. It's not my first long distance hike, my first was walking almost 700km solo through the Armenian and Georgian mountains during the winter in 2015.. My second long distance hike was 220km through the Australian desert on the Larapinta Trail in the searing heat of November..

Beautifully crafted film. I was intrigued to see the boulder field because I was warned about it when I passed that way coming from the west. I chose not to go that way because it was very wet. Instead I climbed up onto the mountain and crossed Skierfe. Thank you for sharing your hike in such a peaceful and beautiful way.

A very cool release. I watched with a feeling of nostalgia for Sarek. Was there once. Amazing place. It was perhaps the hardest trip in my life - thousands of mosquitoes, heat, swamps into which my leg fell knee-deep. Dwarf birches constantly interfered with walking. Once I saw a lonely traveler on the other side of a small gorge. Maybe it was you)). Or maybe not. The place I want to come back to again.
