If you're looking for an amazing trail with EPIC views check out this highest rated loop trail in Washington State. Chain Lakes Loop is a 7.2 mile loop trail located 1.5 hours away from Bellingham Washington in Mount Baker Wilderness.
This hike is for all skill levels from beginner to advanced and can easily be completed in 3-4 hours. If you're feeling a little more adventurous, many choose this trail for an overnight backpacking trip.
I saw many solo women backpackers on this trail and some who were out for their first solo trip.
Comment below if you've been here! and stay tuned for more beginner friendly hiking trails with amazing views. Short and sweet is what I like!

And from Artist Point, do this hike counter clockwise to avoid that crazy elevation at the end of the hike.

WORD! We hiked this last summer - clockwise! That's a tough finish. Planning another hike - counter-clockwise this time.

We parked at the visitor center BELOW the stairs and did it counter clockwise to finish with the descent! It was fabulous!!

I've done this 4 times. Go in the fall. The colors are outrageously beautiful. One of my top 10 here in the PNW.

@@LaoSoftware Not too cold, and the bugs are gone. If you go in July, there might still be snow on the trail, and the skeeters will eat you alive.

I should hike this trail. I should be 25 instead of 65. Glad I wasted all my vacations backpacking in the Olympics from the age of 15.

That mammal barking at you is probably a Pika, a fairly small, but aggressive relative of the Hare rabbit.

@@TarynOutdoors It is a beautiful trail, I hiked it twice in 2018 when my hiking club had a campout in the north cascades. Wildflowers, amazing views, lakes. It has nearly everything except for one thing, old growth. I studied northwest trees in college and became an expert. I love all old growth and love exploring tree groves of both lower and higher elevation old growth.
