Thanks for watching this guide to hiking the Highline Trail in Glacier National Park with a baby or toddler. This hike was so beautiful and is absolutely doable if you’re prepared.
We never felt unsafe and starting early really let us enjoy the hike.
Glacier National Park is home to the Blackfeet, Salish, Pend d'Oreille, and Kootenai tribes. It’s important to visit with respect. Do a little research on the Native American history of the area. It is still very alive and well - as much of the park is surrounded by the Blackfeet Reservation Land.
As always, visit Glacier National Park with respect. Practice Leave No Trace and pack it out! You’re required to pack out all of your trash from trailheads - including diapers! I’ve found that carring compostable dog poop bags makes a day out in Glacier National Park a total breeze!
Dogs are not allowed on hiking trails in Glacier National Park and drones are prohibited.
