Hiking the Routeburn Track | A New Zealand GREAT WALK

The Routeburn Track is a 31 km alpine adventure close to Queenstown, in New Zealand's South Island. It is generally walked over three days from the Routeburn Shelter to The Divide, with accommodation in well maintained DOC huts along the way. Featuring dramatic ice carved valleys and views of the Southern Alps as well as bountiful rivers, lakes and tarns, it lives up to the 'Great Walks' label, New Zealand's premier tracks with the most spectacular scenery.

We did the Routeburn track on our honeymoon in 2018 and it was one of the highlights of our trip. So beautiful! Nice to see the third day in good weather, we had rain all day and got totally drenched at the Earland Falls because we didn't want to take the detour and miss seeing the waterfall. So worth it!
