I'm hoping to do this next year. We've joined a gym to get more in shape. We hiked Mt Snowdon in Wales in May and while it was amazing, I felt miserable most of the way. So maybe the working out will help on this one. Like you I also said Id never do it again but in retrospect I think I would!

Your guys’ trek was so eerily similar to me and my husbands first completed 14er! I also had some mental blocks and got really emotional (and my lips were also soooo chapped) and we had to make landmarks on the switchbacks on Grays Peak. There’s no such thing as an easy 14er and me being plus sized and someone trying really hard to get back into shape, made it even harder. Your tears at the top made me tear up too because I literally sobbed when we finally made it to the peak of our trek. You guys are awesome and congrats on being at the top of CO! Definitely one we plan to do next year!!

Thanks, I need to try Mt. Elbert... I've done Mt. Bierstadt, but it can be very busy with a lot of people because Bierstadt is a lot more accessible. I've done a couple 13'ers, hike/camped at 13 or 14, but also lived in CO & WY for a couple decades. It took me about 6 months to really become accustomed to the higher elevations, having come here from the mid-west. The more you hike the Rocky Mtns. the easier it gets. I'm glad you enjoyed CO, come back again - there's a lot more to see :) Thanks again, nice job.!

Truly Inspirational -- my daughter moved to CO during 2022 -- Your Vlog coaxed me to google how far she is from Elbert...to put this on our Father/Daughter hikes bucket list. -- Congrats on adding another success to the goal of finding JOY in all your JOurneYs. -- I will never get tired of your awesome content...however ... isn't it about time to find some great food in a city setting again??? You guys will love this hike together! You just have to watch the weather so that you don’t get stuck above the tree line in lightening, which apparently is an almost daily occurrence.
