This video is like a love letter to nature! Every frame is filled with such beauty and tranquility. The scenery looks wonderful. Watching the sun set up there must have felt epic

I walked these hills as a youth and a young man many a time. The Brandy pad via the Bloody bridge being one of my favourites. My good friend and I as young teenagers would pitch our 'ridge' tent behind the wall near the top of Commedagh and tackle the devil's coach road or Bernagh and come down by the Hares gap. Unfortunately my mobility isn't what it was but the memories of the Mournes are set like granite in my mind. Great memories, great video.

@@phillipwallace7211 I'm really glad you enjoyed the video and even happier that it sparked so many great memories for you! The Mournes are a truly special place, I have great memories of some of my first walks as a cub and scout up the bloody bridge river and along the brandy pad. I understand your mobility isn't as great as it was, perhaps you might try some of Banns Road? Its relatively straightforward up to the miners hole river. Thank you so much for commenting and for watching.

Another crackin video Alyn!! The weather has definitely turned, but the hills are quieter as a result and solitude is easily found.

@@BestlifeWildCampingOutdoors well that is true pal. Absolutely right. I suppose the autumn weather will hold back the fair weather walker and only us hardened mountain folk will venture out. Lol. True words.

Hi Alyn. What a glorious sunset !! You are getting a good run of nights in the tent lately. As for the bad sleep !! I don't know if it's the excitement of being out , but sometimes it's hard to get a good night's sleep. All the best 👍

@@Andrew......... Thanks Andrew. Another great sunset and another great day in the mountains. Not sure what the sleeplessness was about but I did get quite freaked out. Never happened before and I really hope its not a recurring thing!!!!!

@@maxinebriggs8102 thanks so much. I really appreciate that. I think sometimes hiking and wildcamping is all a head-game. Whether its convincing yourself to leave the house and go hiking in the first place, push on another wee bit to the top or sticking it out in the dark and fog in the tent. Hiking is great body and mind training.

@@walkwatchers it defo is great for the head, u get addicted defo, others don't get it at all. U find peace up on them hills, not even up at the top just among them is enough. I cannot ever imagine camping alone anywhere never mind up there, I admire u for that 👌😎 id freak out at every wee noise 🙈🤣 Keep going, living your videos 🥰

@@maxinebriggs8102 I totally agree maxine. Its so good for your head to get into the mountains. Puts everything in perspective. When it comes to the solo wildcamping, never say never. Build yourself up to it. Pick a good-weather night, let friends know where you'll be and try it. Might not be for you, but then again, might be a whole new level of mountain addiction lol

Great video again Alyn, looked familiar to me as I was watching and then you mentioned Slieve Muck and I thought I wander is that how Dillon and myself climbed Slieve Muck and turns out it was, except in reverse, meaning the steep part was climbed instead of descended, possibly a safer approach. Fair play.
