Neat to see HK through your kung fu pilgrimage lens. HK is one of the coolest and most underrated tourist destinations. Bitter melon helps drain heat from your body in summer months, a good add to food in the height of summer.

Definitely agreed! I should've eaten more bittermelon, I was sweating a ton, haha. Thanks for watching!

Once again, great stuff Andrew! Felt like I was there with you, can you imagine what it would've been like if Bruce Lee was still here with us, this world missed out on so much. 😞

😮interesting.. I have been a Bruce Lee fan since I was 8 years old and seen “Enter the Dragon” and have seen every movie he did. His fight choreography was the best of the times. 🤙🏼💪🏼

I used to live in the same neighbourhood as The Martial Club... never even knew it existed! And when you're in HK, you can't just go back to your hotel and chill. That's just not possible.

That's awesome that you know of it! Seattle has a lot of really interesting kung fu history. I studied Hung Gar as a kid, so it's held a special place in my heart even though it's not my main martial arts wheelhouse these days. Thanks for watching! -Andrew

Being a Western dork brought up on Martial Arts action movies from East Asia, I think this is intriguing. When I was a kid I took Shotokan Karate classes until I had to move. Back then I fantasized about going to Japan, or somewhere in the Chinese diaspora. Then I would just totally go native for years, to train and practice. Then I'd return to America and be a badass warrior for good. Yeah, I spent to much time in the movie theater, and the video rental. My 1980s childhood. I also hung around the Asian kids, so I was like a wannabe oriental.

The squiggly marks on the tree look like the feeding trails of aquatic snails in algae. So they probably are produced by land or tree snails.
