Hello! Thank you for watching our vlog, and for dropping us a comment. Yes, Tiger's Nest trail & the final scenery is quite spectacular. It's a pity that we weren't allowed photography/videography at the summit - but it's all etched into our memories. 😍 Your solo hike at dolomites look amazing too!!

Goodjob on the climb! Is it recommended for solo travellers as someone who wants to have his picture taken at the photo spot and not sure if the guide is willing to help to take some shots?

Hello there! Thanks for watching the vlog & joining the @oheyjelly KZbin fam! 🤗I've seen a few solo-travellers while we were in Bhutan, so I doubt that solo-travelling will be of any issue. The guide tagged to you (you'll have to book your tour package through the operator first, of course) will be able to offer assistance in photo-taking as long as you ask him to. In fact, your guide will hike Tiger's Nest with you, so you will never be in the situation of having no companion throughout your stay in Bhutan. :)

Hi Jelly and Mr P, thank you for sharing your adventure to Tiger's Nest. It blew my mind when I heard you say the Tiger's Nest was constructed in 1692! I am intrigued how they were able to build a monastery on a cliff. I hired a horse when I was at Mt Bromo and it was one of the most terrifying rides in my life. I am glad you went on foot. 5:04 The monastery at Tiger's Nest was built 245 years before the blue pine tree was planted in 1937. Is drone allowed to be flown in the area? 9:17 the view is stunning. 10:04 the steps look really steep. 10:49 How nice of Domo kun and Sylvanas to tag along too. 12:26 too bad cannot take video or photos inside. 18:04 hungry already. The home-cooked meal looks so yummy. 18:06 oh dear. What happened to Mr P? He looked OK during the climb. I am glad he got better. 22:30 In your opinion are high cut hiking boots better or low cut ones? I have a pair of low cut hiking boots but I am thinking of getting a new pair. I also second your advice on hiking sticks. It is a must for me too. Thank you again for your lovely vlog.

Hi Toby! Thanks for the lovely comment! ✨ Apologies for the late response as wifi & network has been really spotty here i Africa + we've been out camping so there's no network whatsoever 😮💨. Yes, we were also mindblown knowing that the monastery was constructed in such circumstances & environment. To fly drones anywhere in Bhutan, you will need to request your agency to apply for the necessary permits. We didn't try, so not very sure about the full process! The view was indeed stunning, but a pity that no recording equipment is allowed into the monastery. We cldnt immortalize the images on social media, only in our memories. 🫠

Oh yes, i always prefer high cut boots when hiking. I feel like it gives me a lot more stability & protection for the ankles. However, they're a chore to remove/put on, and especially so at security checks in airports.

@@oheyjelly Hi Jelly, hope you and Mr P are enjoying your adventure. Camping in the wilderness sounds so exciting! Thanks for your tip on hiking boots. I think I'll get high cut boots for the added stability and protection.

@@tobyteng7522 Go around trying a few brands & cuts, while thinking thru the functionalities you need in a hiking boot. My main priorities are safety, weight of boots, waterproof and comfort. That's why trying many pairs before purchasing is recommended! I've been sticking to Columbia for years becos their boots meet all my needs 🤭 (plus it's really quite affordable compared to other brands w/ same function).

Hiking shoes is a definite must, I wore yeezys and the descend was really a torture.

@BlackAce87 hello there, thanks for watching our vlog and joining the oheyjelly family. Yes we would highly recommend hiking shoes, since our urban city feet can’t fly as well as the locals. Aside to the descent, hope you enjoyed your visit to Tiger’s Nest 🇧🇹

Hello there! Yes, hiking shoes are recommended, especially shoes which are able to give your feet and ankles support since the descend can be quite steep. Even our guide & driver changed into hiking shoes before the climb! 😆 And I was superbly thankful for my hiking poles heh.
