Sometimes you just gotta get out and find some shade to hike in! And I did just that. Cowboy Cave, located right across from Red Rock Canyon proper, and within the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is a great little hike, less than 2 miles round trip. It offers so much payoff for minimal effort. And on top of that some GLORIOUS shaded areas as you hike towards the end of the journey, which is a cave. Another added payoff is that you can visit the horses that live there! These horses are part of Cowboy Trail Rides, a horseback riding tour company located right near the start of this trailhead for Cowboy Cave!
