Hiking to Devils Postpile, Rainbow Falls and Reds Meadow in Devils Postpile National Monument

Devils Postpile National Monument is a beautiful park in the Eastern Sierras near Mammoth Lakes. This 4-5 mile trail takes you to the parks main attractions, Devils Postpile and Rainbow Falls. It is a great way to spend a half day in the park.

I just want to say thank you so much always to create these great video.s As a mother of two small kids planning a big family trip, your video is always the most informative. I like that 1. you always talk about how to get to the trailhead (parking situation, traffic condition etc), 2. how long the trip takes (in minutes and in miles and in altitude, down hill? up hill?). Despite that there are sooo many california hiking youtube channels, your channel really stand out.

FYI the ranger told me if you get to the ranger hut at the top of the hill from Mammoth lodge EARLY before the busses start running, you can drive down. Also, there a a couple small lakes you pass that have good fishing.

Just did this hike last week 💟 U missed lower falls portion of trail. It follows along the river that flows from Rainbow Falls & u end up @ another falls area. Was awesome, hardly anyone takes this side trail! Had it all to ourselves 😍👏🏼👍🏼

Great video. I was there in August 2018 and so many people ignored the sign and still went down the trail to the bottom of the falls.
