Hiking To The Top and My Word for the Year!

I am finishing my 73rd trip around ol' sol and wish I still had the ability to take a hike like yours... or even hike with ya Paul. But spine injuries as a gymnast in the 1960's, while in high school, has left me barely being able to walk with a cane now.... however, I'm not complaining. I liked what you said... because as I have gotten older, trudging up the hills of life, now and then stopping to rest and look back... I have had have a lot of spectacular views that are priceless. I am lucky to still be clearheaded and curious... still learning and enjoying my surroundings... and able to keep trudging up the hills of life on my own terms. So, I keep reminding myself often what I told my kids... we are only as smart or intelligent as the day we understand there is still a lot to learn. So keep posting Paul... I'll be along for the ride and the views... take care.

Paul this year is the year of new things and changes. Remember what your wife says about change, what she says the acronym is for change. I can't remember it off top of my head, it was in Roni's and Nessa's video when Roni got married. It fits change to a 'T'. Now is the time for change and a new beginning. The word for this year is CHANGE. Because everyone of us can use change.

Honestly just needed this after a really tough first year postpartum. It’s time to get up and go. Your hike reminded me that there are always obstacles, it’s how you choose to tackle them that’s important. I think last year, my word was metamorphosis, at I took on my first year as a mother. Don’t over excerpt yourself. Maybe now that the girls are out you and your wife should travel the world - go hike in Nepal 🇳🇵or even Colorado maybe learn to rock climb 🧗 you have so many excellent places to go in the US and Canada!!

Did you make sure that someone knows where you are on your hikes - you should always leave your route with someone so if something happens to you emergency services knows where to look. You should get a copy of SAS survivor manual. Hey Paul if you ever want to come to Canada Calgary Alberta to go hiking in some real mountains let me know and we can give you a place to stay and take you out to the Rocky Mountains to go for some real hikes.
