I have some hikes for you guys to try. Goose Rock in Deception Pass State Park. The Bluff trail at Ebeys Landing in Coupeville. Hike to Lighthouse Point at Bowmans Bay in Deception Pass State Park. I would love to see these featured on your channel. They are beautiful places and I think you both would enjoy the views. Oh Fort Casey in Coupeville is so fun to check out!

I love your series and your job titles at the beginning of your videos make me smile. I enjoy revisiting some places and some that I want to check next time I'm in the area. I think it's good work you're doing- of course for black folks to know about traveling to these areas and also for not-black folks in the PNW to understand more about what people of color have to think about when traveling around the mostly pale PNW and what makes a welcoming experience. I don't know if you talk about it in one of your videos, but I'm curious what brought you to Seattle, how do you like it overall so far, especially the weather? Next time you go to Wallace Falls, I recommend to try for late summer or early fall- it's glorious! On your way back stop at Maltby Cafe for the best giant cinnamon roll as a reward.

Hello, I'm from this area. 4 miles or so from this trailhead actually. I Would recommend hiking these areas with dogs. They really come in handy with the hills. And the bears, and cougars. (or a gun) Nothing else will bother you. The more popular trails like this one have less danger 10 fold because of the number of people. I have a trail set I would recommend when they open later in the year. THE IRON GOAT TRAIL near the town of Scenic (after Skykomish on hwy2) For the most part it's flat. Railroad grade. (a few stairs between levels if you start in the center by the railcar) with many pretty spots, three levels, and depending on which route you pick many miles of trail. you could spend all summer coming back here and have a different part to complete. (short lax hikes) three different starting points as well. One (my fav) is an old townsite via a gravel road by Steven's Pass called wellington that travels a SHWEET snowshed you'll never forget.. The second Fav entry point is Martin Creek It's on the far west side and offers big trees, a few tunnels, and a nice even walking grade. Lastly is the Center at Scenic. There is a rail car parked there. this trail has a lower paved trail, and a mile of stairs to get to the other two levels of the trail. Both of the other entry points are better IMO because of this reason. (check my page if you want to sample view these places., I have a few (IronGoat) (Wellington) (snowshed) videos That we have taken over the years. I personally enjoy that trail set most and go back often. HAPPY HIKING! ...
