Thanks for making this video, Andy. A shame about the weather towards the end. I walked a section of this trail near Lathkill Dale a few years ago. It was beautiful then and I've been wondering what the rest might be like. Great to see it all now. All the best!

Great video! Always lovely locations, nice background music, cracking accent! We're from the border of Bradford & Halifax. My husband speaks to everyone he passes when we're hiking.....keep telling him not to say 'oreet pal' etc to people....especially Japanese tourists! They're so happy & polite but haven't a clue what he just said!! Keep up the great work....we love your videos!!

Thanks & there's nawt wrong with saying "oreet pal" to folk lol..you'll always see happy people in't hills.tfw Andy.

Awesome that mate. I walked quite a few sections of the Limestone Way but not done the whole thing. Thats some going. Lovely little hidden spot to pitch up. That's the tough bit of these kind of trails....finding somewhere to pitch. Just back from Wales....we need a trip over there ASAP. Catch you soon mate

Cheers Paul ayy it's a great walk very scenic & beautiful walking through the many Dale's along the way.you'll certainly overcome any fear of cows too lol,I must have walked within feet of hundreds of them & they just go about their business.thats the thing too as you'll know finding a spot to camp but I'd identified that spot as a potential & it turned out spot on.ayy we deffo need to get to Wales mate,just been speaking to Dan Bullock about it earlier,we need to arrange a date.tfw mate.Andy.

Great effort that Andy. Watched it a couple of times already. Two very different days. The tent performing well??? Looks a handy bit of kit that. Good pace you kept. My C2C was similar. Weather constantly changing. I know what you mean about the filming too. I filmed less and less as the walk went on. Great video as always mate 👏🏻👏🏻 tfs.
@AndrewBeavers5 жыл бұрын
Cheers Craig ayy very different days weather wise but forecast way off which was a pain.tent doing really well enjoying using it,only gripe is the porch space but i guess majority of small 1 man tunnel tents will be the same.started off the walk doing the filming as i normally would but soon realised i had to be more focused on getting the miles in.tfw mate.Andy.

Mate that was a real nice video interesting facts and history with some good scenery however that rain looked the sort that soaks you through lol. Good effort on the time too well Andy " Longstride" Beavers hopefully catch up with you soon pal. ATB Steve

Thanks Steve it's a real good trail & there's a lot more historical stuff along the trail than i showed but had to balance it out with getting the miles in with the time i had.That rain was the sort to soak you through mate & make you cold,i had a nice little shiver on back at the car lol.we'll get a wknd sorted for september mate.tfw.Andy.

Admire your stamina Andy, you certainly put some miles in and with a full pack too! Had to smile to myself when you mentioned you were taking too much time filming and not hiking, something I can identify with! Lol! The landscape was a beautiful contrast to your normal wild-camps in the Peak District, hope you will do more like this. Atb Anthony 👍👍👍
@AndrewBeavers5 жыл бұрын
Hi Anthony it was a good distance but really enjoyed it.ayy i soon realised i had to balance the filming with getting the head down & knocking the miles off otherwise i would have struggled getting to where i did.The white peak is a very different landscape to the dark peak,more beautiful imo,the lush green fields everywhere really set the limestone off & give a real nice contrast to the landscape.iv'e a few more walks planned & hopefully will get a few more done this year.tfw mate.Andy.

Nice atmospheric film Andrew I think with the sound track and rain you created a great mood. We stay in a Holiday cottage at Over Haddon every November and last year my fist days walk was Lathkil dale in torrential rain all day but I really enjoyed it. Well of to bed now. Great film.

Hi Andy, big respect on those distances in just 2 days - it would probs be 3 or 4 for me! I know you are not big on reviews but would be interested to hear your views on how your kit fared (particularly the new tent), in the rain. Regards, ATB Phil.
@AndrewBeavers5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Phil ayy some big mileage there but its all about just keeping plodding on.my kit fared really well tbh & the tent is really good in the rain.i may mention it in another vid.tfw.Andy.

Really good to see you out on the long distance trails Andrew. I bet you're excited to get going. It sounded like it. Hey I've been drinking out of troughs my whole life. You to no doubt. As you say it's alright as was the pitch. Pretty good in fact. I love to stealth camp. And hey swim to - it was a nice river....not forgetting the stone circle. I gotta say it was a nice start to the day. The misty mornings are refreshing. Well, a wet finish but your bro had your back. Good going. I look forward to see what other trails you do. Mark
@AndrewBeavers5 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark ayy i'd a a few trails to do this summer & time running out but hope to get a t least a few more in.nowt wrong with the water in troughs it's all rain water then filtered of course.had to be a bit of a stealth camp that one as it was my last option as heading to the farm i'd planned on i wouldn't have made it & there's no camping allowed signs up around that place lol..The stone circle i love anything like that & love to feel a connection to our ancestors,i find it all amazing.tough end to the walk the last 12 mile in constant heavy rain made for some difficult walking as my feet ended up in a bit of a mess with being wet through.tfw Mark take care.Andy.

@@AndrewBeavers Aaah you did well then Andy. And it sounds like a simple looking trail was in fact full of interesting things and a stealth camp to. Love it. Peace!
