The Panorama Loop and Warren Peak hike in Joshua Tree NP gets you away from the crowds and into some classic Joshua Tree terrain. You’ll enjoy Joshua Tree groves, foothill climbs, and epic views. You’ll also bag the most western point over 5000 feet in Joshua Tree NP. And Warren Peak is not Warren Peak. More about that in the guide.

Just did the Boy Scout Trail on Monday. Now this video is tempting me into another two hour drive.

Thanks a lot for this. I will be trying this the third week of March. Should not be too hot yet. I really enjoy all of your trail videos for Utah, California, and Arizona. I have been hiking out west now for over six years since I retired and it has been awesome.

Warren Peak looks like a great vantage point for views of the high elevation areas around the Coachella Valley, have to give this hike a try sometime preferably in the winter.

Wish I had this guide a couple weeks ago, lol. We followed the WP route, but we ended up at the bottom of the peak and there was a signpost that looked like it was the end of the trail. Didn't make it to the very top as it looked like a rock scramble so bummer because the views in your video were amazing. As a side note, we followed your other hike for Pushawalla Palms in Palm Desert and boy was it helpful!!!! I did get confused at the very beginning so made a wrong turn to the right when you clearly said left, (to go uphill) but everything else was perfect based on your navigation tips. Thank you soooo much for doing these videos.

Ah bummer, yea, the peak can look intimidating if you aren't aware that you go around the back. Well, it gives you an excuse to get back out there. And glad the Pushawalla guide was helpful, I love that hike, hope you enjoyed it too.👍

Thank you very much for all the Info and the beautiful views, thank you very much for sharing your adventure with us. I really appreciate the work and effort you put into your production, as I create hiking videos myself and I know how hard the work can be. Hopefully I will go to Warren Peak someday (on my list now). Take care out there. Best wishes, Mario (subscribed)

Ah vielen Danke... glad you enjoy the videos. I just checked out your channel and subscribed. My mother is German and I used to spend every summer next door in Niedersachsen. It's great to see the landscape (and cows!) again. I haven't been back in a long time but hoping after travel normalizes I can get back over.

Got a question for you: I actually have a house in Joshua Tree and hike the National Park often. But as you know the desert is rattlesnake country. What should I do if I ever get bit by a rattlesnake in the back-country besides hit the SOS button on my Garmin Mini 2? I carry a snake bite kit (the kind that sucks the poison) but I'm not sure that's really effective.

When I took my NOLS Wilderness Medicine class they said that the kit didn't really do anything. I don't carry one. I do just make sure that I watch my footing. I've come close to snakes sometimes, but it's usually when I haven't been watching the trail.

Really enjoyed and well narrated video. Will definitely utilize it for my visit in a couple weeks! What time of the day did you set out? Trying to figure out best time for lighting/pics.

Would you feel this could be a good trail to camp over night off of? It looks like there's not too much space to get 200' off trail to set up camp legitimately...
