Shauna and I went to Smokies annually for years, back then there were no passes or permits to go anywhere, but I gather that the crowds of gotten huge there.

Awesome trail walk,watch for snakes , love 💕 the sound of the running water it's so soothing and calming relaxing and good 👍 for the heart ❤️ mind 🧠 n body n soul 🌹 great video too. Watch out on the foot 👣 bridge it can be a little bit slickery to walk on try not to fall down.

My guess is that the "no pets" rule has a lot to do with preventing potential bad encounters between large, furry wildlife and pets.
