Thanks, what are image sensor specs. How does this cam compare to the tioc 2.

Can you use a pir sensor to trigger the white light ? Thanksn

These Colorview cameras at night time have a flaw in the firmware they don't do intrusion detection or line crossing notifications at night - it just does not work. Thank you for the review it was very good. Human detection seems to not be able to detect at night time, must be how it detects, ie face detection to make human detection

Just tried with my DS-2CD2387G2H-LIU and DS-2CD2087G2H-LIU. No issues with intrusion detection. Which firmware are you using?

Hi, for some reason I am unable to change the picture quality (its greyed out) option on this camera, not from NVR and when directly logged into the camera. How could I make this option selectable? Is it related to the constant bitrate setting? thanks

Great! Can you please suggest the best Hikvision DVR that suits the performance of this model? Thank you

Any of the latest NVR's running V5 firmware such as the 7604NI-M14P4 would be the go. (DVR's were used in the 1980's and are still used today where systems have been wired in coax...)

Larger aperture and bigger sensor on the non hybrid version… is the low light performance noticeably different? I’m leaning toward the non hybrid for this reason…
@jimnorrison8481Ай бұрын
Compared to the DS-2CD2087G2-LU? The former with larger aperture is better, on a scale of 1 to 10, call it a 10. The hybrids are at least about an 8.5 to 9. The hybrids are the way to go if you want to keep thing's low key with your neighbors. You can set the (annoying) light to 'smart' and it will turn on the IR until someone get's in front of the camera, then the light will go on and you'll get full color. Walk away, and the light turns off and IR turns on. The picture quality is better on these compared to Dahua: IPC-T58IR-ZE-S3 (empiretech) and 2CD2387G2H-LIU. About 10% to 20% better depending on the scenes: medium low light, etc; with very low light and Hik's ColorVU, no contest. Dahua's can sometimes have a "cheapy" distorted image (these are not Hybrids, but they attempt to have very good low light color). Note: these Dagua's are varifocal, which can be a big plus.

Thanks for the excellent explanation, could you please tell me the difference between DS-2CD2387G2H-LISU/SL and DS-2CD2387G2-LSU/SL. A thousand thanks
@jimnorrison8481Ай бұрын
These cameras: DS-2CD2387G2H-LISU/SL are Hybrids. They have ColorVu and a standard IR and you can switch between either one, manually or automatically. Reason these were introduced IMO is reduce the annoyance factor in that ColorVu's will activate the white/yellow light under low lighting conditions and it's painful to look at. Get these, they are worth it. The LISU has an audible alarm and strobe light, the LIU doesn't. The bullet version of these is the DS-2CD2087G2H-LIU. They don't seem to have an alarm/strobe version though.

But does the human / vehicle detection actually work. My current hikvision cameras are supposed to have this but it does not work at all
@SecPerth5 ай бұрын
Yes. I tend to use intrusion in smart events. Set the threshold to 2 sec. Won’t work if you leave a car in the fov and have vehicle checked.
@davesmith21502 ай бұрын
I think the human detection is in the dvr not the camera.
@jimnorrison8481Ай бұрын
@@davesmith2150 Nope. It's on the camera and it works.
