Instead of doing all this hectic procedures simply buy wifi range extenders ( which are easily available in amazon) which has ethernet port. So you can directly connect to DVR using LAN cable!. I am currently using tp link wifi extender and it is working awesome..

The firmware which you copied in video was 15 mb only for 4ch DVR and you are upgrading for 8ch DVR which firmware size is 27mb and also USB wifi adapter recommend by Hikvision is TENDA TE-U3 300 Mbps, take it as a feedback 👍

Yes true, we shown firmware file for 4ch dvr. but the upgrading process we shown using 8ch DVR, because of video capture (HDMI output) device to record screen. We can use any wifi dongle that support hikvision dvr. Also, when buying this NP-Tech adapter, they will provide firmware also
