nice one fella. i hadn't a clue about the display adjustment on my 2003 r1 but now i do. sometimes its easier to be shown than to find out from looking in a manual..i dont think my missus would let me keep my r1 in the house..... fair play to ya

Thanks brother! I have a 2012 and the douches at the shop I bought my bike at held my shift limiter at hostage at 7000rpm. Hey personally I've got a gsxr 750, and suzuki tl1000s, i've ridden a few ninjas, and a friends cbr1000rr, and in comparison I just got my R1 a few weeks ago, and in my opinion it by far is the best I've ridden really enjoy the ride, and difference in power, and though not the most comfortable an amazing ride still.

Awesome info. Thank you for sharing. I've recently purchased an 03 R1 w only 11k miles on it, and I'm thankfully surprised that the tac and shift light have so many detailed options. Before this video I was annoyed that the shift light was coming at 10k rpms. Way too early unless you've got the reaction time of an 80 year old. I set mine for fast flashing, full brightness, on at 11k and off at 12k. I'm pretty quick with shifting so I'll likely be at 11,500 when I react to an 11k light.

To change the clock hold down the select button and reset button together for a few seconds while the ignition is on. You can then switch from hrs to mins with the select button and change them with the reset button or it might be the other way around but you'll be able to figure that out.
