yeah, good for you and kulas experienced the 'binalbal" festival... misamis occidental was my previous hometown (jimenez) for more than 20 yrs and thru your videos just knew there's such a celebration... i just hope ur now in cebu to witness the nr 1 festival of PH, i think, the SINULOG celeb which falls every 3rd sunday of the month and that will be tomorrow and on sunday ... one of the main highlights is the grand street parade which lasts for 9 to 12 hours (practically the entire day) with participants coming from the different towns and cities of Cebu and from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao across PH. The Sinulog dance contingents are dressed in bright coloured costumes dancing gracefully to the rhythm of drums, trumpets and native gongs ... furthermore, if you have the chance, (the following weekend-sunday -28jan) try to witness the DINAGYANG FESTIVAL in iloilo... have fun...
