9:56 The red helmet means he is a sergeant, meaning while the blue helmets mean they are just normal space marines (Battle brothers) while Tydus wears a blue helmet with a white and red stripe, that means he is a Lieutenant which is the rank above sergeant. If you wanna know what is shameful is at the introduction/tutorial when tydus was in the deathwatch and had the silver arm, He served at the death watch becaue he was accused of heresy or any sort of crime, the silver arm represents the death watch

the red helmet was used as a mark of shame basically when Sgt Thiel suggested that the space marines start learning how to fight other space marines and they used the red helmet to basically shame him for thinking of the idea. Funny enough… the Horus heresy events started not much longer after and they basically praised him for the idea of training to fight other space marines so they implemented the red helmet for Sgts after that.

So you should only parry on Blue circles and roll or dash away on other attacks. The multi Melta for Heavy is the best. During missions you are looking for Armoury Data that lets you upgrade your weapons. the Melta bomb when used drops to your feet and then you have to detonate. I would suggest running the entire campaign before Operations if you want to know why you are on the operation. during missions if you find a Gene Seed it gives you extra XP at the end of the mission but beware if you go down while carrying it you will lose it.

A red helmet with green visor just denotes a Sergeant in the Ultramarines. Titus has a red stripe bordered in white on a blue helmet bc he’s a lieutenant. Every chapter has their own traditions and practices. Some are more fleshed-out than others, but Ultramarines are some of the most complete Space Marines as far as lore and heraldry. Play the first game to learn why Titus was demoted .

9:56 quick lore dump the red helmet on the ultramarines (the royal blue ones) is actually the Sargent helmet derrived from a Sargent from before the horus heresy that studied how to fight other space marines (big no no back then) so his helmet was covered in blood as a mark of censure, however his battle plans proved useful after the horus heresy began and the red helmet was then adopted for the rank of sargent (or chapter equivalent)

Red helmet is in current wh40k mark of sergeant. Back in the day, there was a sergeant, who painted his helmet red. Other soldiers mocked him for it, because he desacrated his legions colour. But by his prowes on the battlefield, he earned respect and admiration of his superiors and other warriors, and that is the moment, the custom to paint sergeant helmets red, started.
