Karen was really the star of Will & Grace. Her character had the best lines, the most original characterisation, vocals all of it. I found will and grace themselves rather dull and annoying. She left all the others behind in her star dust. The rest of them - even Jack - seem annoying by comparison. Jack is really a clown and played the Kramer type character of Will & Grace. His OCD fast talking character became tiring. Jack has arrested development and acts like an eternally Peter Pan spoiled child. A gay stereotype. But There has never been another character like Karen: she was empowered but not in the woke awful way we know now in 2024. She was fabulously not politically correct. Her character wouldn’t be allowed now. She was fabulously flawed and crazy and yet strong. Her scenes with Beverley - her bitchy, camp archnemesis remain some of the best and funniest scenes in all of sitcom history.
