This video with the two Bach Violin Concertos is a gem! And as it is coming and going in a fluctuation (shown and then taken away) I grab the chance to hold it against my heart once more, in the fear that also this version will disappear, as the the earlier outlayings have disappeared. Someone has something against this wonderful music and interpretation!!!

The second concerto, which I believe is BWV 1041, the first violin concerto, is just a joy. It's wonderful to see the full ensemble smiling and connecting through the music. Ms. Hahn is wonderful, as usual, but the joint commitment to slowing the tempo and revealing the music must go to everyone.

This is the whole concert, I have seen it beeing split into the first and the second violin concert on KZbin, which I find a disgrace. Here we have the whole consert, from the beginning to the end, and with encores. And wonderful Hilary plays wonderful Bach with wonderful Deutsche Kammer Philharmonie Bremen. First the second violin concerto, then the first. Enjoy!

Hillary chooses here to play in an catholic dominated environment of the very late middle ages in an territory which normally was no home of the protestants to which Bach belong to. But however Saanen now is, without any doubt a centre of top class music.
