Hilary Hahn is doing what Mstislav Rostropovich has done in that she performs pieces that aren't frequently performed and bringing justice to modern compositions while still performing traditional violin repertoire. Absolutely gorgeous playing that's incomparable💕🎶

impressive I have never heard such a pure and otherworldly sound at all times the absolutely unique and great interpretation of Hilary Hahn does not stop captivating me her chords are orchestras and trill and harmonics are not of this world congratulations Hilary Hahn!!!!!🎻🎼♡

It is now 2022October and I revisit Hahnand franck playing this often .the 3 piano concerti don't excite me as much . Each of the Symphonies is a wonder and I copy his wind and brass harmonies from the Symphonies very often in my work . It adds an otherwordly scene to my American music . I must find the other great violinists that play this ! Wow ! Not what I expect from R?. Wonderful - lucid in a strange way.What were the 70's like for him . Magnificent telling music .Epic opening . Will want to hear this many times !

The year after Isaac Stern premiered Rochberg 's famous violin concerto ! Stern played the rochberg 47 times ! in its first 2 years .For a contemporary work that astounds me ! I wonder if he knew of the Rautavarra I wasn't aware of him until late 90's thanks to Naxos I think !
