Yup I think it's one of my favorite aspects of the show is how ignorance isn't depicted as a particularly negative trait. But the characters show that openes and kindness make it okay to be a bit ignorant on topics because you are open to learn and understand. David being scarred of witches, then realizing his best friend and the friendly librarian are witches; opened him up to being a bit more comfortable around witches and their practices.

@@treetheoak8313 true. But for me I was more so thinking how unexpected the friendship was. Kaisa is kinda already a good adult to the kids but her adventures made her more like a friend with them. Then she bonds with David whom is pretty different from her. That Kaisa and David also had a lot of fun despite the situation and seemed to start a nice genuine friendship was the cherry on top.

Honestly, am I the only one who found it adorable that Kaisa is genuinely enjoying herself during this scene? Like, she’s supposed to be the stern serious character, and yet she’s genuinely enjoying the experience of hunting down the Tide Mice. It’s refreshing to see this kind of break in established character tropes, especially with Librarian characters, who are traditionally not part of the action.
