Hi Tony , thx for the support 🙏🏻 One quick tip and I don’t think I covered it in the video and it’s also not in the manual. When filling a bottle that still has some air left in it for instance 150bar Start the compressor with the bottle valve closed until the compressor build the pressure up to 150 and then slowly open the bottle valve. I don’t know if it hurts the compressor doing it differently , but someone told me to do it that way and it makes sense not to push a blast off air in the other direction 😉

@@Airbuks Hi Airbus, Thank you for that tip. I’ve already done it following your instructions on the video and all seems well. My brand new compressor didn’t even come with full instructions just an A5 size quick reference guide. I had to Google the main instructions which is 9 pages long. Like what you mentioned on the reply, you would think they would add that to their instructions. Thank god for your video otherwise I would have probably blown the back of my house up LOL👍🏼

Very cool! I’ve had my EC-3000 for little over a year. Just changed the crank oil. 15 hours of use still running great. I’ve found the gauge on mine is about 10bar lower compared to my wika and sekhmet gauges, so I fill to 260 on my 250bar bottles. I’ve had days where I fill, shoot, fill for hours. I got one of the first models, Hill had a recall on them. Unfortunately for me it had to go across the pond (from U.S.A. to the U.K.) they were pretty quick to get me a replacement however the replacement was a refurbished model with obvious wear from whomever had it before me. I ended up having an issue several months later with the unit not being able to build pressure, I sent it back to air venturi in the u.s.a for warranty again. The issue got fixed (bad valve is my guess) but communication as to what they fixed was terrible & the crank oil wasn't emptied before shipping back to me so it was a mess when I got it back. Speaking of crank oil is difficult to get where I'm at. Decent compressor but I feel Hill could have replaced my new compressor with a new compressor, not a refurbished one. Not sure I'd buy another one due to the experience I had.

When filling my gun the compressor tends to "move around" on the ground, how do you fix that?
@Airbuks2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I have noticed that aswel , when I put it on my work bench it doesn’t move at all but when I put it on the concrete floor it slides gently from the vibrations . If you put a piece of carpet underneath it holds it in its place 👍🏻

How many fills does a 3 litre bottle fill an fx impact 580 cc bottle?
@Airbuks3 жыл бұрын
With a 480cc I can get 3 fills from 150 to 250 bar and from there on I leave it connected and shoot straight from the bottle or I every fill will gradually go down . The 4 gill fill be max 230 then 210 etc . But I can shoot 2 tins of 25cal jsb pellets with 3L air . Enough for a afternoon of fun 😉

I am surprised more people don't just get 6000PSI nitrogen tanks for their 4500psi tank fills. It's what I do. Maintaining and hoping for dry air out of a compressor, and paying for one, can hardly be justified over just getting an industrial air source.

Thats what I been wanting to do buy the nitrogen tank setup. Can you help me out please and tell me exactly what I need to buy and do to fill my two 4500 psi carbon fiber air tanks with the nitrogen setup. I was told to get a tall bottle tank for the nitrogen and then I think a 6000 psi setup for it or something. Can you please explain exactly what I need to buy and do. It would be very much appreciated. Thank you so much my friend.

Hi , yes I am still very happy with the compressor 👌 works very well for my needs. I am using a extra moisturizer filter with cotton inside just to make sure I have as dry air as possible. The make I can’t tell as I got it from someone who stopped using it and there is no label on it . There are enough filters online but just make sure you have a good quality one that is rated to use at 300bar

@@Airbuks Thanks for the quick reply. Love watching your video. I ordered an ec3000 Looking forward to using something better than a Chinese "orange shoebox" compressor that I currently use. Now I suppose I should get a CF air tank. What size would you recommend? I was thinking about a 3liter. Is that a good size in your opinion? Can that size be filled with the ec3000 without damaging the compressor? I'll be using it with an Impact MK2 and a Wildcat MK3 Thanks again for all the great content you provide.

I can recommend hooking up the dry air filter from Air Venturi for the compressor's incoming air (you can also make this yourself for 1/3rd the price with pieces from Amazon as the AV filter is a bit expensive altho worth it) PLUS a 8mm fast connector with cotton tampon style filter in between the compressor and your rifle. In combination with the Hill built-in filter this gives you a 3 guard moisture blocking system and dry air is guaranteed even on very humid days. This system doesn't slow down the charge time either.

I don't mind the hand pump. Good exercise. But a big bottle would be to much for a hand pump. This airgun love is expensive to get started in. First you buy a cheaper PCP and a hand pump. Then you buy a twelve hundred dollar pcp. Then you need a electric pump. Then you need a portable filling tank. It ain't cheap. Unless you stick with a break barrel. And they pretty much suck by the end of the day. Cocking all the time.
