Of late, Tollywood heroes of the present generation right from Mega Star Chiranjeevi are bringing laurels to Telugus by churning out Pan India movies and by going global. However some Chief Ministers of Telugu states from Reddy community seem to be playing down well known Telugu film heroes in public even at the slightest mention of their names, thereby jeopardizing the image of Telugus globally. It’s a matter of concern to ponder why Telugu Chief Ministers particularly from Reddy community are expressing anathema towards most successful Tollywood heroes. Earlier the Chief Minister of AP Jagan Mohan Reddy, a converted Christian, used to derive sadistic pleasure by causing Tollywood heroes including Mega Star Chiranjeevi to go round his secretariat under some pretext or other in order show his importance over them. It’s a well known fact how Jagan Reddy insulted Mega Star Chiranjeevi with his ill behavior in public glare without consideration in the least for his August visitor’s age even. Now it seems it is the turn of the Chief Minister of Telangana Revant Reddy to emulate his erstwhile counterpart in A.P. Revant Reddy is crying hoarse in public as well as in the Telangana Legislative Assembly blaming iconic hero Allu Arjun for the mishap that took place in Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad in which very sadly one mother lost her life. It’s ironical how the Chief Minister Revant Reddy deemed it proper to declare and hold Allu Arjun accountable in public for the unfortunate incident that took place in a massive event! Even now Salman Khan continues to stand on the portico of his mansion in Bombay on his every birthday and keeps waving at the crowds who throng in thousands in front of his bungalow to have a glimpse of the actor. God forbids if any untoward incident like the one in Sandhya theater takes place there also, would the police prosecute the iconic star? Further Revant Reddy’s public declaration that Allu Arjun as the culprit tantamount to CM’s order to the state investigating agencies to prosecute and punish the iconic hero who is an innocent. On the whole on analysis why Telugu Chief Ministers particularly from Reddy community are averse towards Tollywood heroes is that all the leading Telugu heroes belong to Kamma and other social groups whom Reddy politicians consider as political threats to them. Further Reddies by and large lack in smart-looks to be celluloid heroes and hardly there is any hero from Reddy community in Tollywood to reckon with. It could be Reddy politicians’ hidden strategy to defame and weaken well known Tollywood heroes to avoid political repercussions. Allu Arjun besides an iconic actor is the grandson of the legendary comedian Allu Ramalingiah Garu whose is a household name among all Telugus. The Allu family comes from a numerically strong social group from the Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. Naturally Andhra migrants in Telangana, MunnuruKapus, TDP and Janasena cadre workers in Telangana would not remain calm if Revant Reddy government takes Allu Arjun to task highhandedly on the basis of caste oriented politics. .
