I grew up listening to "Steady B. & Cool C". "Schoolly D." "Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince".These brothas was a collective of like minds represent early Philly Hip Hop _ gave us one of helluva stage show. You are absolutely right our early Philly rap sound close together but our sound is more fun based & high energy performances. Plus we had mean Neo Soul & Soul music scene also. Philly always been hot. Now everybody knows it.... 🧊🔥🧊🔥🧊🔥🧊📀🔥

They should make a feature film about the rise and fall in the eventual bank robbery that led to steady b and Cool c Spending the rest of their lives in prison.. I'm pretty sure they didn't end up executing. Cool C but I could be wrong

Shame this only picked up on the downslide, Steady had mad classics way before Serious, 'Bring The Beat Back' etc. also I was hoping for more insight into the Hilltop/3D joints which again were big on the street, jams like Giddy Up and Once More etc. it's a shame where life took these cats cos I looked up to Steady in the day, what were they thinking? Philly had it tho, some great Hip Hop from Schooly, Tuff Crew, even those early JJ&FP joints, definitely on the map in that golden era
