The Electoral College was set up to give the rural slave holding states an edge to favor a supporting slave system candidate for president. At that time, there were only small differences in population between cities and large rural areas so the favorable edge did not need to be obvious. Trans-rights - it seems to me that LGBTQ + community is not looking for equal rights, but special rights. You may disagree but having a daughter of my own, i would not want a trans man using the womens bathrooms. That seems perfectly reasonable. It's ok for an individual to be who they want, but when that decision affects all of society, then you dont get to insist that society change right into wrong. Trump has made efforts to uphold this base principle though he could have done it more diplomatically. 2. BLM - this is not a civil rights movement. It is a terrorist movement with political ends. I too consider the movement to be terroristic in nature. They are bringing good, fair, and unbiased companies to their knees by using the threat of force. As a terrorist movement with political aspirations, it is open to criticism by society, and yes, that includes POTUS. You may disagree, as that is your right, but criticizing BLM or anyone else is also the right of every American. 3.
