I'm first generation American with Indian heritage. Yes they were dumb but they got carried away exploring a great country with clean beaches. Their country is literally a sh*thole. I kid you not. Until you've been I can't even try to explain the smell 24x7 everywhere. Just glad noone got hurt. Great job George and team!

@@HILLAUTOBODYif you don’t live near the coast, or a river, odds are you just don’t know or care. The river people, some of them know, some of them are completely ignorant of it; Basically, half of them don’t know, the other half do, but of the half that do, half of those people don’t think it’s the tide, they just think the river water level is lower because there’s less water flowing. People like to think they’re smarter than everyone when in reality they just haven’t learned the concept yet.

My kingdom to be a fly on the wall when they call their auto insurance company and explain what they did. I suspect that the story will have some twist about how the tow truck driver did not get there fast enough and would not helicopter their SUV out so it did not get more water logged. Hopefully someone at the insurance company will think to do quick KZbin search to get the unbiased story. Maybe something subtle on your receipt that has your KZbin channel name perhaps?

This might have been a pretty good time to use those radio communications. The ignorant tourists were out driving in clam beds (and other sea life) with their stinky car. Who knows how much damage they caused, not to mention the tow truck's destruction from helping the people get out.

I am wondering if tourist folks who go out and “do stupid things” on the beach often just don’t have an understanding of the environment they are in while on the shoreline ocean beaches. We have a large tide and that tide comes with significant elevation changes and the behavior of the sand when the ocean covers it is incredibly dynamic. For instance, today 7/29/23, the elevation change between minimum low tide and maximum high tide is 9 1/2 feet. Low tide, -.66 feet, high tide +8.66 feet. That’s a whole lot of water level change! And it happens within about a 12 hour span, or half a day.

When I first started watching your channel you were using tow trucks on the beach and come to find out all you needed was your personal truck and a kinetic rope. That's a lot of rope for this one, if you bought enough purpose built rope like yankem you would have to have thousands worth to go that far. The old school marine rope seems to serve you well. Why did you choose such an angle and not line up straight with the suv? Was the sand too loose except along the shoreline? I bet you end up with this one for the towing and storage bill. You're not getting rich off this one if the engine is hydrolocked and the computers got wet. Good sheet metal for someone.

That rope was invented back in nineteen fifty-six by Samson Rope Corp. Federal government in the form of the United States Navy Coast Guard have been using it for moaring and towlines for years. Because of the stretch factor of nylon rope. Due to the tightness of the weeve it is restricted to about 22% and 3 times stronger than 3 strand nylon which stretch 55% before breaking. And it will destroy anything in it's path. I discovered Samsung braid back in 1973 learned to splice for mooring lines for my family's boats, Coast Guard years, licensed small vessel captain, deep sea merchant sailor now in retirement as a off roader. You can go to DMRO and buy new and or used military surplus rope for a fraction of original cost. Can you imagine 600 ft long 10 in diameter 12 ft eye spice in each end and believe me at 20 pounds per foot you ain't going to pick that up and drag too far. What is interesting is that yankum ropes literally bought a factory machine to make it's ropes. Factor 55 also bought a factory to make it's ropes. Interesting that both companies are in Idaho although I do have the fids for splicing and many times like George just tie a knot to make an eye takes about 45 minutes to splice an eye on 1" diameter double braid rope. Did enjoy you comment. In Georgia. I have had many a conversation, concerning the use of his quote unquote use of Coast Guard ropes. George tell me the longest pull previous to this one 300'.
