@@HillClimbFans Someone liked my comment, so that brought the memories back. I have to admit that I was a little bit underwhelmed by Karl's performance. At the same time of course I understand that it was a new track for him, so he couldn't explore his (and his Golf) capabilities to the full extent. I really hope that he'll be able to come back and give Reto Meisel a run for his money. I really believe the Golf can be at least as fast as the SLK. Your thoughts?

As I commented on other thread, it's such a big difference watching Karl doing a run on a track that he knows well enough to be confortable with. This is not a negative statement in any shape or form. Karl and his Golf are really an amazing combo. I hope he will be able to come back to Falperra in 2023. I really believe he can beat Reto and his SLK340. Falperra is a great track for the Golf, with longer gear ratios of course. The amazing chassis, that beast of a TFSI and Karl's huge nuts will do the rest.

Quite an impressive team are Karl Schagerl and his Golf-here at 2019. St.Agatha Schagerl broke touring car record previously set by Georg Plasa.Looks like Schagerl is a worthy heir to the throne despite he doesn't drive Judd powered car,but that hardly matters since his Golf looks and sounds fantastic and is faster.

Personally, i get pumped up with either with an amazing n/a engine or with some over the top turbocharged unit. One of the wonders of Hillclimb Racing is precisely the variety of the machinery involved and the liberty given to the engineers to create killer and goddamn quick machines.
