To finish the competitive Season , we once again organized alongside AK-Mihovil, the Bongo HillClimb Monsters event at beautiful Skradin in Croatia!! Created to celebrate the late Hungarian Hillclimb racer Istvan Kavecz (hence why the use of his nickname "Bongo" on the race´s title) this event is built to attract some of the big Monsters in Hillclimb Racing in big celebration of the sport to finish the Racing Year and it certainly didn´t disappoint. Great video. I remember those WTCC & BTCC Cruze's. In their day they were super quick. Obviously 4G63 FTW, but that Cruze was pretty cool.

@@3desapa_jr388 I think preference has a lot to do with it as well. Like me personally other than air cooled Porsche's I've never really been a fan of very many German cars. To me many just seem unnecessarily over engineered and over weight. But again it's all personal preference you know?

I know I sort of have it backwards here but I'm always so impressed by the pace of modern race cars. Those super trofeo cars aren't particularly light and they are way down on power yet it still keeps up to a decent degree.

It’s the RS version so probably not. Most high power Xs ditch the SAWC diff for a 9 diff with clutch pack type LSDs for strength and ease of tuning. Still would have the active center though

No S-AWC anymore. Handling that much power and Torque takes way more mechanical and beefed up material ;)

holy shit... i never seen a chevy cruze going anything cool before. as someone with a chevy sonic 1.4l turbo... it gives me hope. i really wanna mod it for the fun factor as its a really funish/peppy car, not fast by any means but with a 140hp its kicking up a little dust when you get on it. i really want an awd I4 car, might just be cheaper to find a honda already done tho. well see i guess

That evo was killin it and people wonder how a factory Evo can rock a Lamborghini on a road course It’s because they are fast and they handle in a way that is unimaginable I have an evo one and it handles so well it’s impossible to explain so by the time you get up to a 9 man that would be so nice and they don’t need a lot of power to do it mines only got a few little goodies and it hauls

@@lutek7146 No dude I’m talking about the videos where they intentionally take a bone stock Evo and a bone stock Lambo out onto a road course and spank that Lambo. Stock evo‘s have forever been the challenge to beat on the road course and just ask Subaru about the rally scene.

@@lutek7146 actually they were all running the 4G 63 and even the highest horsepower one there the stock block can handle and if you’ve ever booked out an Evo the stock suspension is incredibly busy and Race ready you just need some coil overs to bring it down and stiffer sway bars to give it road mannerisms because obviously it’s designed basically as a rally car at least the earlier models go take a look at the suspension on an Evo 1-4 and the strut shafts alone look like 3/4 inch

Might be just an impression, but is that a TC1 body with the N/A powerplant of the original Super 2000 spec? One thing's for sure, that's Tom Coronel's livery still there. Also, I can see that suspension tuning improved in the Hyundai, it used to be way too soft.

@@GreatAsaf No it wasn´t. That´s only the 2011-spec cars when rules changed. The 2010 cars like this one had the 2.0L NA engine inherited from the Lacetti.

The wide body Cruze (which belonged to the newly formed TC1 class, along with the Citroen C-Elyseé, Honda Civic and Lada Vesta) was introduced in 2014, already with the 1.6 turbo engine. The narrow body Cruze (which is not the case in your video), had N/A engines up until 2010, with the 1.6 turbo engines having been introduced in 2011. And I can vouch for that, since I saw those cars racing live in my home town, Porto. So it seems that the Cruze in your video is a mix of two eras: wide body from TC1 era, with engine from previous S2000, N/A era.
