Always one of the most spectacular venues on the Swiss Hillclimb Championship, Grunigel Bergrennen featured once again a great entrylist, adding to the usual Monsters participating during all year, some truly unique one-offs like the MK Motorsport BMW 3.5 CSL, proper motorbike swapped Protos and even a limited edition McLaren product...Here´s how they ended up placing:

Tracking’s sound like they are powered by bees. 14,000 rpm is crazy even with a motorcycle engine. That BMW 3.5 CSL is beautiful 😍.

That's the redline in pretty much every 1L sportbike since the mid 2000's. My '06 R1 had the redline at 14,750rpm.

Verrückt wie gut die Porsche Cup Autos sind... Und der McLaren sowieso... Zugelassenes Auto kann zeitlich "mithalten"? Da kann das Auto und der Fahrer nur gut sein... Die Opels machen ihr Opel Ding...Die Kitcars waren auch krank mit ihrem Gixxer Motor... 450kg und 200ps... Die Beiden BMW waren super... Der "e33x war so leise bis auf das plop beim schalten... Und der andere ist einfach nur sexy, oder? Der Golf und EVO, was will man dazu sagen... Top :D Great video like always. Sorry that I wrote in german... But I think KZbin will help with translation

I feel like so many people are used to seeing purpose built cars in hillclimb events that they forget how capable some road cars are. On paper, a lot of these cars could have blown the McLaren out of the water. But it posted quite a decent time.

This is the only event where I get disappointed when I see an actual race car or higher end car instead of a 500+hp MK1 golf, cause it’s hilarious to see and it ends up being an unbelievable racing machine.
