Yes for example when you look at the track section scenes at 10:17 and 10:59 you see that the evo is taking his foot from the throttle for seconds where as the VW is flooring it nearly the whole time during the corner at the end. Crazy driving from both but there you get your 9 seconds haha by flooring it the hole time.

The ability to rev incredibly high with a massive powerband and less shifting evens it out. It really takes something like a Judd V8 or V10 to truly surpass a serious turbo race build.

That Polo was Flying some power out of a 1.6 too we get 240hp out of a b16 but we tune them for more torque than peal power for tight rally stages 💯👌🤙

It was a shame that Schagerl wasn't 100% confortable with the Falperra climb...at least he seemed so. I'd love to see him blasting that road completely flat out, like he seems to have done in Sternberk. Another great video guys!

Depends on the event, but here at Sternberk there were 2 practice runs on Saturday and 2 Race runs on Sunday ;)

Those last two machines!!(shocked-thrilled)...those last two fiesty machines were like they are rocketing through corners like they weren't cornering but maneuvering ..What i loved about this video is too many Evos with sweet sound but YUKKK there were two hyundais!! Also i was wondering there were two VW, but none of them used spectacular vr6...couldnt understand!!

@@truekera M3 GTR road car using P60 engine. And Nort American version use S54 engine. Also Z4 GTE using P65B44 Z4 GT3 The racing engine in the BMW Z4 GT3 has the engine code P65 and its basic features are based on the S65 . A 4.0 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine was used until July 2010. This came from the BMW M3 (E90 / E92 / E93) and was used in a similar design in the BMW M3 GT . The engine in the BMW Z4 GT3 developed approx. 353 kW (480 PS) at 8300 rpm and was able to deliver a maximum torque of 460 Nm at 5500 rpm. The maximum speed was 8500 rpm. [2] Compared to the competing models, the BMW Z4 GT3 with the 4.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine had a performance deficit and thus disadvantages in fast sections of the route. Therefore, in August 2010, BMW homologated the variant from the street-legal BMW M3 GTS, which had been drilled out to just under 4.4 liters . [2] In the BMW Z4 GT3, the engine produces approx. 379 kW (515 hp) at 8300 rpm, with the output depending on the air flow limiter prescribed in the respective racing series . The maximum torque of approx. 515 Nm is available at 5500 rpm. The maximum speed is 8600 rpm. The engine block is cast in the light metal foundry at BMW's Landshut plant .

Seems like hill climb drivers aren't as consistent as other drivers, ie not using every mm of the track.

It depends on driver skill/car setup and how good you know track.

Completely different style of driving, it’s easy to remember where you are and where you can put your tires on a road course because of how many times you get to go around it on a race day . You only get so many try’s at a hillclimb, the course usually isn’t nearly as smooth as a road course so the race line may not actually be the fastest if there’s a huge bump in the middle of the apex. I know the hillclimbs where I’m from the beginning of most the corners look the same, so it’s tough to remember what you can take flat out and what you can’t. Ohhh and the course is usually lined with trees, rocks, ditches and drops
