Thank you for a great follow up video on the Anaris, details such as the potential problem with using trekking poles with ergonomic grips is very useful since Hilleberg does not afaik mention that themselves. Very tempted by the Anaris as a large solo tent but would hate to have to give up my Black Diamond trekking poles.

Hi! What kind of trekkingpoles do you have from BD? Maybe I know the answer. Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs

@@OutdoorguruGearReviews Thank you for the reply, I use the BD Trail Ergo Cork poles so the grip is at a 15 degree angle. You too, hope you can make it back here to Sweden once the current situation gets more stable.

Thanks, Gijs for another great video! I really like the look of this tent, it does take up a surprising amount of space, almost the amount of space I'd need to pitch my safir 9 tipi! Haha. Maybe not quite ;) It might fit the bill as a good trekking tent for me to do a few trails with. I'll keep this one in mind and continue my research. :) thanks again, take care.

Thank you again ;-). Yes it is a good design and I like the multi-functionality. I am wondering if they make a bigger 3-person one later. Would be smart for a lot of couples that want to store stuff in the inner tent. Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs

Thank you: another positive video to raise our spirits! I have the Allak2 so I was interested to hear you say the inner tent’s DWR coating is sufficient to repel light showers and dew. Next summer I shall have to try camping without the outer tent fly.

Excellent video. I don’t normally use trekking poles. Is there another option that I could use to support the tent?
@OutdoorguruGearReviews4 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is... wooden sticks or suspended from trees with the loops that are used for the long top guylines. And I tried some telescopic tarp poles... works also but they are rather heavy. Does this help? Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Ciau Ciau, Gijs

Great video thanks 😊 What is the best orientation for this style of tent in high wind ?
@OutdoorguruGearReviews3 жыл бұрын
Hi Andy, Sorry for my late reply but I was on holiday for a while. With this kind of tents it not that easy but I put one corner in the wind or just the entry side that I am not using. Also: pitch the fly on the windsite low to the ground so you create a 'windramp'. Did I just invent a new word in tenting 🤗? Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs

Your pitch is good for hot summer, Hilleberg recommends 125-127 hight is far better high winds. The tent pitched closer to the ground stops wind getting under the fly sheet

Blijft namelijk een leuke vraag 😄 Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs
@joseslotman91313 жыл бұрын
Hallo Gijs, duidelijk antwoord. Heb jij daar ervaring mee? Groet, José
@OutdoorguruGearReviews3 жыл бұрын
Jose, Sorry voor de vertraging. Was even erg druk. Groet, Gijs Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs

@OutdoorguruGearReviews4 жыл бұрын
Groet, Gijs

It would be interesting to see you pitch it in a more ”difficult” environment! You very seldom have the space you pitched it on.
@OutdoorguruGearReviews4 жыл бұрын
Hi Lars, Well there is a reason for this: I bring a lot of stuff for shooting the video and I need space for this. And I live in a flat country and can not travel so easy at the moment. You know why. Also traveling to mountains would take a lot of time, diesel and money and since I don't make money with the reviews... Maybe you have seen the review video too:, some mountains there. The tent takes 5 x 5 meters space and between trees it is not always easy to pitch the Anaris as beautiful as can be. You need to wiggle a bit with the pegs and guylines sometimes. In hope this helps in explaining. Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs
