Niak Footprint:
This tough ground sheet helps to protect the Niak’s floor from abrasion. Note, the Niak footprint covers the area of the Niak inner tent only. Weight: 250g/9 oz
Pole Holders for Inner Tent:
Optional Pole Holders are needed when you want to pitch the Niak inner tent by itself. 4 are required for the Niak, and they attach to the inner tent’s corners.
Niak Mesh Inner Tent:
The mesh inner can also be used in place of the standard inner tent: simply disconnect the standard inner tent and button in the Niak Mesh Inner Tent. Used alone, the Niak mesh inner is a simple, highly versatile option for use in dry, warm conditions. Its full mesh walls provide not only maximum airiness and protection from flying and crawling insects, but also 360° views. When used in combination with a Tarp, the mesh inner retains all of its venting and viewing advantages while the Tarp provides protection from rain or shade from the sun. The mesh inner tent includes the pole holder kit to pitch the inner tent or mesh inner on its own.

After a long wait I finally purchased my Niak, I love the inner space and such a simple shelter to pitch. I hope the mesh inners will be available again soon, is there any estimate when these will be available?

It's too bad this is the same weight as my Anjan 2. I like this design, but it doesn't make sense for me to swap it out for the Niak.

I have an Akto but wanted something a bit larger. I think this is going to be it. Every time I look at all the tents out there and then come back and look at a Hilleberg, well... there's just no use buying anything else.

Did you end up with a niak? I also have an akto and I'm thinking of getting a niak, for the extra floor space and headroom. Just curious if you are happy with the niak in relation to the akto.

Good tips that apply equally to the Unna. One extra tip for Unna owners is entering via the top of the door, with it secured at its lower zip. This keeps tension on the outer door and prevents it catching in the wind or dirt, and stops inquisitive dogs from entering!

@@peter-kv7wf Vandrefalk did a good review which you may have seen. He basically gives it a ‘perfect’ score - but in his replies to comments says why, with more experience, he decided to sell it.
