@1mariacat that's really nice to hear someone say that. I get so "passionate" about my work, and try to put as much detail in as possible. That also makes a house more personalised for the owner, so anyone else having the same house, won't necessarily look the same, and not so generic 😊🙏xx

Hi Richard from across the pond. I think we all do that stay awake half the night until your mind works out new or even redo projects. Lol. Just a suggestion if you use the other side of the egg cartons you will get alot more texture for your stone/ brick walls and or walls. Anyway. Thank you for sharing.
@RichMiniatures3 ай бұрын
@tammyhall6178 hello my lovely 👋 yes I did think about the text side of the cartons, but I'm not sure if ours are made in a different way or not. But the unprinted side has a very flat texture with fine dots on, like a grid pattern! Difficult to explain, but it looks more "machine" made, rather than natural. And now you've brought that to my attention, I'm going to have a look at other egg cartons next time we're buying eggs, just to see if the different choices have different make ups! 🙏😊

Hello Richard. Well, I was happily watching the creation of the stucco & the stone paving & thinking how clever you are & then you pulled out the big guns & wacked me with Moroccan tiles!!! ..your creativity is just amazing! Out of interest, what sort of paint did you use to paint the stucco & the paving stones? I once made stucco for a Welsh cottage I have but used plaster of paris & good old British emulsion to paint it, which has chipped over time, it all adds to the effect but your technique looks far better ❤❤❤
@RichMiniatures3 ай бұрын
@CherylBarlow-sy5to Hi Cheryl, it's great to hear and learn how other folk approach their projects, as we learn off each other 😊 for paint colours I usually have them mixed for me at our local DIY store. I choose whether I want the paint in a matt or silk finish. And I came up with the stucco idea after trying a few different plasters. I found out that using the foamboard with the outer paper pealed off, and then using the lightweight filler was the most suitable to get the effect I had in my head. And the great thing about this filler, is that it takes paint really well, and is flexible after it's set. So it probably won't start chipping off over time! 😊🙏❤️

Love love love the work you're doing. I feel like I'm in Tuscany as you're working on it. BTW I think you should know that when you paint rocks "randomly," in America you're painting them "willy nilly." Who knew? W__ C____? Just wanted to add a colloquialism to your love of saying "quafee."

Hello Richard lovely to see another video and seeing George the cat 🐈. But your video looks not very wide. I have changed every size on my phone but the screen is black at top and black at bottom. Normally it was a wide screen. Some one said its not wide screen.
@RichMiniatures3 ай бұрын
@carolwhittlesea7683 yes, sorry Carol. When I film my videos, they are made of several clips over so many days, and then all put together into one video. But when I put all 32 clips together, I realised that I hadn't filmed all of them on the full screen setting by mistake! It was too late to change once the clips had been filmed, so that's why I put a message up during the video, apologising for the screen not being the right size! 😊🙏

Rich if you were renovating an already decorated house would you start on the outside and then redo inside or start inside?
@RichMiniatures3 ай бұрын
@JoWalden-o1m well Jo, it's just personal preference, but if I was completely renovating a house, I would still get the outside done first. If you redecorate all the rooms first, then remove the doors to decorate, you then also have to do the sides of the building, and roof etc. And very often, you end up getting splashes of paint or what ever, marking the newly decorated rooms that aren't protected! But I just find it less hassle that way 😊
