Finally great, realistic teaching about not-self. I gave up trying to explain people Buddha never said that there is "no self" or denying existence. Your teaching is real dhamma. I hope it will spread more. Thank you for your every teaching.

Thank you so much Venerables for this Anatta contemplation. The starting point wrong order is I am and things are mine but instead we realize through that sense of ownership that my ownership is determined by all these things like my heart, brain and lungs that are working on their own that I cant own which means I am not my own. As Bhante says when one have worked and purified the restraint then one creates the basis for understanding the Dhamma.

I love your teachings, it always encourage to first contemplate the topic by ourselves, than to seek the support in external sources. True Buddha way. Your insights are incredibly deep and accurate with Buddha teachings, true Dhamma.

Cula-Saccaka Sutta: A second time, the Blessed One said to Saccaka the Nigaṇṭha-son: "What do you think, Aggivessana? When you say, 'Form is my self,' do you wield power over that form: 'May my form be thus, may my form not be thus'?" (Thanissaro Bhikkhu)

Not just lazy self reflection. As in, that’s definitely one cause- I’m not denying that 😅. I’m just adding that there are other causes too, probably even more fundamental causes such as the tendency for aversion to m problems themselves. Hence, wanting to deny it away.

Self is not the same as any or all aggregates, yet not separate from them. We can call this today in English an 'emergent property' of the aggregates?

If you-re asking the devil's advocate, "I" can "have" a smartphone without having to know understand or to be able to directly influence its workings of its complex circuitry. Maybe a possession relationship can be assumed without absolute knowing/understanding/control of whatever is possessed by its possessor.

After about 10 minutes time in the video you quote the Buddha saying 'The whole universe is in your body' - can you name the sutta of this quote? Thank you! 🙏

which sutta tells the story about an arahant who uses apparently harsh words, while in fact those words are not out of aversion?
