Love the build up on this song especially the bridge into the chorus which you don’t really hear on the track! Praise God 🙌🏻

In case you guys didn't know, this is Nigel Hendroff, this is one of Hillsong's guitarist - which explains the notes are so accurate
@gabrieltan3010 жыл бұрын
in fact, he's the lead guitarist AND music director. Plus he's sponsored by TMG (Taylor McGrath) Guitars so that should say something

Nigel - Thank you for sharing your amazing gift with us! I appreciate your tasteful and melodic playing immensely. I recently saw you with Hillsong in my hometown of San Antonio, Texas. You've inspired me in my own work and playing.

I usually learn how to play these parts just by watching these videos, but I swear this is the worst angle to try and learn from! But I remain determined.

Yes, it basically renders the video about 50% useful - very sad to say. the opportunity to learn it from Nigel Hendroff is sad to waste.

That pushes me to train my ear since I love the melody but i can't see what he is playing so i try different positions based on the shapes he makes.

Working on this one for upcoming week, trying to figure out what works best in D (female leading) as original is in B. This must be an alternate version he uses cause this isn’t on the recording tracks as found on multitracks.com. I like this. Anyone know that delay? Dotted 8th and quarter and probably a stereo rig ?
@leearnold09119 жыл бұрын
The timing on the delay is a little distracting in the beginning, but great sound/tone.

Great guitar playing but I have to agree with Kevin that's it's difficult to see. The Roman numeral diplay helps some but most of the chords he's making aren't standard chords. Some Tablature would be the best to duplicate what's he's playing especially the chords.

This is a great rendition!, but not a good video, because of the camera angle. Please point the camera directly at the guitar so we can see your fingers better in the future!

Please what does those romal numbers showing at the top left corner mean?
@romnelllamas14757 жыл бұрын
Peter Nortey we called it Nashville number system it is a method of transcribing music by denoting the scale degree on which a chord is built. For example, He's on the Key of G. In this key we have the following chords. G(I), Am(II), Bm(III), C(IV) D(V), and Em(VI). I hope it helps. GOD bless ☺☺
@JHSmithmusic6 жыл бұрын
correction he is actually in the key of B (the original key of this song) so the numerals would be like B(I), C(II), D(III), E(IV), F#(V), G#m(VI).

Come on guys! Nigel assumes you have a basic knowledge of the fret board. These are very simple chords every lead guitarist should know just by the way they sound. Chords shaped like open E,A,D,G and C, but barred higher on the fret board. On the chorus he is playing around a basic C shaped chord barred on the 11th fret. Then to an E2 on the 7th which is shaped like an open A2. Even though the parts are simple Nigel is King of putting it all together. Wish his parts were more prominent in the mix.

Yes I know you are a great guitarist. But why can't you just be GRACIOUS enough to post the TABS/Chord Shapes ON SCREEN? Please do not be selfish like this world. Thank you.
