I've heard religious people who criticize Hillsong United/Worship/Young and Free for getting people all hyped up. I just say, as compared to what?? How we get all hyped up over the news, sports, movies and secular stuff that steals our time, energy and affections? Ha! I would MUCH rather get all hyped up over JESUS CHRIST, my loving savior and best friend!!! This is awesome. It's just wonderful.

I was on tour with an artist by the name of Woodkid at this time. We were on a two day break in NYC. I had believed that Jesus had interceded through God to save me from my addiction to drugs and alcohol, but I never really understood the LOVE. My friend who lives in White Plains had tickets to this show and his wife couldn’t go because their daughter had come down with a virus at the time. So, I thought why not? Never heard of them or any of their songs. I wasn’t prepared. I’m still taken aback when I listen to them and I still listen to one of their albums EVERY SINGLE DAY!! This night changed my life FOREVER! I left this night with a new awareness of what LOVE really is. Not my version, but His. Not my time, but His. I now have my own little group that plays at our local church. I still play secular music because it pays the bills, but this music RIGHT HERE has restored me and it will forever hold the highest place in my daily life. That’s what this night represents to me. I am restored. Love to whoever took the time to read this. It’s long. My apologies. All love to EVERYONE!!🙏❤️🙏❤️

I went to the show in Alabama. Have seen Hillsong United twice now. It is amazing to see so many different people in there worshipping. Whenever I go to concerts like this I feel like it is as close to the feeling of heaven as I can experience on earth. Being in unison with everyone worshipping.... unity and love all around. I find it hard to believe there are those who criticize this music. This is a concert about the Rock we tie our boat to. The Rock we build our lives on. We the Kingdom did a wonderful song, Holy Water and they redid it with Tasha Cobbs Leonard in a church with Maverick City as the choir. Same song but more of an anointing and worship feel. To each their own. We can only counsel others and pray for others. Amen...saw the Hillsong film a few years back and I had tears running down my face. The anointing was powerful and for sure, not of the enemy

That night in MSG was unforgettable. Every thing was spectacular, but when we sang Behold... wow.... I felt the presence of God right there with us, I couldn't take pictures anymore, I wasn't looking at the band, I was just worshipping with everything I had, my soul, my heart crying out and connecting with our Heavenly Father. I've heard Hillsong music for a long time, but this was the first live United concert, and we were in the first row. What struck me the most, is how genuine these people are, they are humans, they are vessels, and their mission that night was to connect us with our Creator, and mission accomplished!
