I was about to die from an overdose in my apartment in Miami all alone after so many different drugs…I went to grab my phone and I couldn’t even see what I pressed and out of no where KZbin started and this song played. I have a prayer request. I lost my dad last year when I was in my final year of med school. Losing my dad crushed me to the core and I was not able to study anything for my final exams. But I wrote it knowing that God will help me. Results came out and I failed in my exams and I have to reappear my exams within a few months. Please pray for me so that God gives me strength to face this battle and that I don’t lose my hope in Christ and that I’m able to study well and be useful for the kingdom of God. Anyone who says hillsong is a false prophet, should watch their tongue. If you have never been in a room with these people, I have twice, will never understand how much the Holy Spirit is present. You have 2,000 people singing in one accord to JESUS. It is the most powerful thing I have ever experienced. Watching this is close, you get a sense of the power. Man I was battling in my body out of nowhere once I got off work. I was aching all over and I had a headache for two days that wouldn’t go away. My wife prayed for me and I touched and agreed with her. She asked me how did I feel after prayer, I answered in faith that I’m better. About 16 years ago after having not stepped foot in a church for several years, I attended a church just so my daughter at the time (I now have 3 children) could learn some of the morals that I learned growing up in the Catholic Church. I didn't believe in Christianity at the time, but I believed in much of what the church taught about treating others. I walked into the sanctuary as they were singing this song (Breathe) and within about 10 feet I felt like crying. It freaked me out. I had never heard this song before, the words meant nothing to me at the time, but yet I had this overwhelming emotional response. God was speaking to my heart and I didn't know it. It still took me a while, but eventually he got my heart and he has never let go. I love him more than life itself. He has carried me through so much in life. This song will always hold a special place in my heart. I pray that all those who do not know Jesus and the love he has for us would be drawn in like I was. I also like Hillsong Music very much and they are all anointed. However, I must admit that the live version (circa 2000) by Christy Nockels still cannot be matched in my mind.

I’m rediscovering Jesus again. So many times I pushed Him away of my life because living surrounded by sin is more fun and entertaining. Later but not too late I realized that the life I was living wasn’t a life, I repent for my sins and for the damage I caused on my path. Jesus filled my heart with His peace and accepted me even when society didn’t. If you feel like your life doesn’t have a purpose, please Surrender yourself to Jesus, He is the purpose in your life, having Him in your life will bring understanding and compassion. God bless you and your family, and remember: Jesus is with you, no matter how many times you pushed Him away, He never goes too far, He loves you! ❤️

@@estheropemiposhonibare3320 Thank you brother. I'm so happy that God is so mercifull. Even tho,my dad was rejecting God for whole his life , in the end, he accepted Jesus as his saviour. He was crying in the hospital bed , as we we were praying together. God is really beautiful , faithfull, mercifull .. He answered my prayer. My dad died to lung cancer in 54. But then again,THANK YOU JESUS. I pray for every soul that didn't yet encounter with Jesus. May Jesus Christ enter your hearth and change your life forever. He is waiting in front of the door and knocking..everyone that opens the door will eat with Jesus ( will have relationship with Jesus ) Which is the best thing that could happen to anyone. Oh my...... 20 years ago... a young girl in my 20's in my convertible with the top down, worshipping as I was blasting this precious song that spoke every word to my soul. He lives inside me. He is my constant. My rock. He has never left my side through it all. I knew it would be a long and rough journey over the years and I have had the faith that he would walk with me through it all. He has. He has never let me down. He never left me when I failed so miserably. I will constantly be desperate for Jesus. He completes me.
