That was a good starting point for Hilltop to be honest, A good middle ground of their songs, not the most rap heavy, not the most musically excellent, but good at both to give you an idea. And also the best jumpining off point for Aussie hiphop as they've been on top of the game for 20 years here. @@maxnankervis8246 the new crew are pretty violent, Hooligan Hefs, Spanian and One Four (half of who are in jail) all talk about street culture and gang violence. Western Sydney has a good aggressive hip hop scene.

I really like Hilltop Hoods (& I know very little about Hip Hop). On top of the lyrics, the sound has a kind of 1960s' back to me. Love it.

Kuhl is on the money, nosebleed section is one of their super early songs. And still one of the best RAPs I've ever heard. Cosby sweater is another prime RAP.

These two guys and their dj are icons of aussie rap. They commercialised the genre in Australia and did it their way and paved the way for so many modern artists who have taken the torch and ran with it. Please check out ‘Chillinit’ Hes the most gifted and hardest working young rapper and is easily the greatest lyricist we’ve ever had
