I think, Pokémon USA, put charizard and blastoise in the back to protect the consumer. You can't check if the card is grade quality without opening the Deck. In Japanese, you don't have to open the deck and actually switch out decks with lower quality charizards. I'm actually seeing this pretty frequently already in my area unfortunately. That's why I don't trust a single word from Japanese resellers.

I was disappointed opening this product. For something this expensive, I would of thought Pokémon would have better quality control on the cards. Sadly the card quality is poor. There is still centering, edged, and corner issues. For $400, this shouldn't be an issues. The English version not having the gold holo border was also very disappointing.

Japanese is cheaper, better quality and just looks amazing! idk why they did this to us , with a price jump on top, i feel like this could also be a test for the market, to see what they can push, 400 in sports cards is honestly not that much, but each ( pokemon and sports) have there own market

I personally don’t care about the holo pattern and what not. It looks like it did back in the day. I’m more upset with how it was advertised as “classic” and featuring decks built around the classic Base Set starters. But this has modern cards in addition to the base set cards and frankly it just doesn’t work. Base Set Charizard is hard to enough to use competitively as it was. But with modern cards, it’s completely and utterly unusable. At least use the Evolutions variants! The card list is my biggest complaint. I wish they built decks either using purely classic cards or modern versions of classic cards. They even used the Evolutions variants of base set Mewtwo! This mix and match thing isn’t feasible. Glad I was able to find this out before wasting money on it.

I just don't see the value here at 400. Also $400 equates to £360. But the MSRP is 400 in the UK and US. This really should have been 200 max. Also, what is with the card choices? I'd hoped all the cards would have been Neo Genesis and prior?

Whats the point of this product if you cant use the cards in tourneys? Why pay almost 400 bucks for a casual product, seems kinda redudant to me. For 400 i could build a nice holo/full art competitive deck.

I mean, it just makes sense to me. Imo it would be weird from a rotation standpoint, and the cards that can be used competitively already exist, like the Boss's Orders and such. You can use the basic energies in comp decks, but that 400 dollar point is for collectors to have it to leave sealed, or have it for the collection purpose. All of the cars featured from a comp standpoint are just bad, or alr exist

So if I'm not mistaken when I watched a video from PTCGradio's Wossy he stated that the English wouldn't have holo on the yellow boarders because the English sets didn't have holo when they were printed. It was something started when we switched to the silver boarders but at the same time there was also a lot of holo bleed in the later sets. I'm glad I found your video though, I did pick this up but I was planning on keeping the whole thing sealed so seeing where the cards are kept makes me feel better about leaving it sealed.

See if they are smart they would have done in the first box all 151. 2nd box leaf and the 3rd box team rocket. And then do 151 boxes in fire , 151 boxes in green, 151 boxes in blue so on .

Until SV1 english cards differed from japanese cards as they had the yellow border compared to Japan’s grey border. That’s why vs seeker/xy super rod have yellow here while SV switch has grey. Not rocket science.

Okay cool video, Showed it off pretty well, but my god how many times have you said "...exactly the same," in this video?!?! Nah, I cant see how this will ever reach the same value as the original cards as all the decks are the same and include a lot of the same cards and, if I'm not mistaken, they all include those original Pokémon (Charizord, Venasaur and Blastoise) most importantly, these cards are all produced after this whole Pokémon craze so they're not rare in any fashion.
