when you say you paid 85% of market price does that mean of the normal shop price (in Australia it is caller recommended retail price) or do you mean the current price things are going for on places like ebay etc?

I got a total of 1 ETB so it's staying sealed. Sucks that I cannot open packs and enjoy this set. It will be incredibly difficult to master this set with these pull rates and product availability.

I was lucky that my Costco had a two per account limit and I was able to pick up one for my kids. We actually caught the release by chance. You would have thought stores would have learned by now that you need a limit for products like this.

I was at a video game/toy store this weekend and they had an INCREDIBLE inventory yet their prices were pretty high (5-10% over "eBay" value) heard someone complain about that pricing but the fact of the matter is having availability at a local shop is arguably more important than the sticker price! It's a sketchy world online. Brick and mortar is always preferred. Well done on this purchase you made to keep your customers happy!

When pokemon say they are going to maximise print capacity for prismatic they mean they are removing print allocation for other sets to increase prismatic production rate. They physically can’t print more cards than they already are without purchasing another factory and printing machine. This issue is due to a boom caused by TCGP. Once the boom dies down then product will be easier to obtain.

i think pokemon should just get rid of distributors and sell directly to the stores XD

As a full blown general figure collector i think this box is great, its a great way to introduce figure collectors into the tcg hobby and at a decent price. im used to paying upwards of 100$ a figure alone, mind you they do generally have alot more detail but still 80 bucks for a figure a good amount of booster as well as a few promos i think its a pretty good deal

What about collectors who don't care about sealed product? All the LGS in my town are the only ones with product. None of the big stores have anything. All the LGS in my town have the product at 4 times the MSRP.

i wish we had a good lgs like you near by. I have no qualms with what you're doing, especially when most people buy collections closer to 50-60%. I would say the majority of lgs take advantage of these hype trains and in turn take advantage of the consumers. Ofc pokemon is at fault, but if lgs were to repay the faith that loyal customers had been giving them since early SV days and make sure to keep an allotment first for those loyal customers and then sell to whoever, we'd see a better market overall
