Can You Weigh Obsidian Flames Booster Packs?

Let's sit down and weigh TWO booster boxes worth of packs to see if Obsidian Flames packs are in fact weighable. This has been a talking point since the beginning of Pokemon cards... will this set be any different?

I have a booster box that I am waiting to crack open with the kiddo soon. I might weigh it out this time and open it in reverse weight order to build up some suspense and make it more interesting. :) Sounds like fun. Watch the weights go the opposite for us and we'll end the box with no hits. ha!

You would have to weigh a lot of packs with an incredibly accurate set of scales in a controlled lab environment to draw conclusions with such a small range of pack weights. I just weighed 10 Scovillain holo cards and the range on just that card was 1.83 to 1.87 grams on a 100 g capacity jewellery scale. I'm betting someone could do the same and get all the hits in the (barely) heavier end of the range, someone else in the middle of the range and others with an even spread (already seen that from others on KZbin).

It gets worse after they do more print runs as well. I was just mentioning this in another post. Unless you know they are the same print run, it gets more and more random. An original booster box vs a newer print booster box can be completely different. If you try weighing a mix bag of packs from different collection boxes and stuff collected over time... it's impossible to weigh them.

you need a triple beam scale which is used for drugs, its such a good scale it measures your breath, the scale hes using is not that accurate but will still work,

Wow those are some crazy pulls! We are weighing Obsidian Flames booster boxes on our channel as well but ironically we pulled most hits out of the super heavy packs but we can see that you pulled yours the most from the lightest packs! 😮

Sadly, scammers/scalpers try to convince consumers that packs can't be weighed. It is still weighable, it's just different methods to weigh packs now. Stay safe and do NOT buy loose packs from untrustworthy sources

There are plenty of vids on this out there. The problem now is knowing exactly what printing you are weighing. Because it varies too much. Believe me, I tried (just for fun with my kiddo). We were going to open them all regardless. But, I was trying to save the best packs for the end. It ended up completely random hits. Afterwards, I noticed that there is different code cards (the biggest problem), different print card stock, the printing ink is even heavier on some of the packs, and many of the wrappers felt different. All of that adds up. You would need a verified first print run because anything after that is a crap shoot.
