Milwaukee electronic break is quicker and spannerless disk change. I suspect it's cheaper as well (for a change)

Hahaha. Absolutely. That's exactly why they have to build in idiot-proof technology. ALWAYS unplug or take the battery out. Always.

An absolute step backwards. A key needed. That's one step forwards , ten steps back. If you are skilled with a grinder, you shouldn't need all that sense tech nonsense. DIY'ers might need it but they are the ones who will certainly not pay Hilti prices for a grinder.

I always try to have the sparks (or dust in the case of a diamond blade) from the cut going away from me wherever possible

I've got a cordless grinder somewhere where the spanner slots in to the side handle.

I despise Hilti but Skill builder have got to make money somehow, they do plenty of how to content, we can just skip the paid promotions if dont want to see them , and I think despite my hatred of Hilti, these videos are still quite interesting, but wish Skillbuilder would do more Tool showdowns comparing all the respective power tool makes, I think the last one was multitools and that was ages ago.

rocketmunkey The head to head tool reviews cost a lot to set up because we buy the tools to keep it fair. They are also time consuming but we should do more. If we can make enough from other videos we will do them but at the moment funds are scarce.

@@SkillBuilder Maybe some more non sponsored tool reviews like the mafell vs Festool episodes you and Robin did a few years back, not necessarily just mafell or festool but that sort of format, you could just nick your mates tools to review then 😉 also a monthly new tool announcement episode would be nice a bit like belts and boxes does, to keep abreast of new tools, you wouldn't have to source the tools then, just have a discussion about new tools which interest the team and flash up few photos, anyway keep up the good work mate !

Good for Roger. Hope he is getting paid a fortune. Cannot understand why people moan about promotions, must be the freeloading attitude people seem to have now where they think everybody should do everything for nothing. You don't have to buy it, I certainly won't be, and you didn't have to pay anything to watch this, so I don't know what you are moaning about.

Stephen Thank you for your comment. We do not earn a fortune out of Skill Builder even with the paid for content there are jut too many hours spent filming and editing. I understand why people get upset at the idea of somebody making more than them. It is the magic fish story that is often told in Russia. A man finds a magic fish and it grants him one wish. "You can have anything in the world, anything you want but before you choose I must tell you that your neighbour will get twice what you get" "In the case poke one of my eyes out" replied the man.

I wish the manufacturers of the Angle Grinders would come up with a better on/off switch system. Dust soon accumulates behind the switch making the machine a pain in the arse to switch on👿👿

Grinder body, 2 x batteries, and charger, my account shows 1007.00 plus the dreaded!! Over priced and imagine all the electronics and gimmicks when its all covered in s**t. No thanks!! Why have Hilti come away from quality, solid, simple reliable site tools? Anyway appreciate the videos Roger, keep em coming!

I like the look of the hilti tools and all but those batteries are just so ugly with how they sit on the tool. I'm happy with my milwaukee tools.

Milwaukee fuel has a quick nut, so your fingers are a key plus a brake and they achieved almost impossible with their 18 volt platform, while competipion decided to change battery platform. What I spent on Milwaukee and Festool I would have to double on Hilti, and boy I did spent a lot. I'll pass

There’s a reason why Tool hire companies stick with Hilti the likes of Gap and Speedy………. 🤷‍♂️
@rocketmunkey1
@rocketmunkey1 Жыл бұрын
Yeah its the Tool Fleet management they offer large firms, it means lazy mangers can sub contract their responsibilities of tool management and repair and insurance to Hilti, for a monthly lease price. they only have to hire the tool out for 3 days a month to cover that cost. Hiltis warranty period to buy the tool outright is only 2 years, Dewalt Milwaukee and others offer 3 year warranties (5 year US). If Hilti tools were any more rugged and reliable than their competitors, they would put their money where their mouth was and extend their warranty period wouldn't they. and if trust pilot is anything to go by, quite often they dont even honour the 2 year warranty.
