At Hilti we have a commitment to "Make Construction Better". With new tool innovation, safety and and software services along with a direct selling salesforce, we strive everyday to do just that. This year at World of Concrete, customers got see first hand what that commitment looks like and boy did they like it! Setting a sales record for this event in 3 long days makes me proud to say I work for Hilti and I believe we offer not only the best tools on the market, we are the best partner for our customers.

The service is amazing. Anything wrong with your tool go in they give you a loaner and warranty / repair yours. If you need a tool to get jobs done you can count on them. They also keep tags for there fireblocking products so say you have an apprentice fire caulk multiple mechanical rooms and he tosses the tubes with labels they will come out verify right product and give you all the tags you need. That alone makes them my choice for all fire products.

One thing I was told about Hilti, is they preferred to lease their tools to their customers, that way it is extremely easy to warranty swapout. This would fit in with this type of customer service.

Yeah their close relationship with massive construction companies, working on massive construction projects, makes a traditional "retail" setup make less sense. These guys are dealing with billion dollar budgets sometimes, and the last thing they need is a major hold up because a tool breaks. The Hilti system works really well for these big jobs.

The only reason why large companies use Hilti is because of lazy company managers, who know nothing about tools, and want to offload their fleet management responsibilities to Hilti, who offer a fleet management service, so the manager can collect their pay check and go off and play golf ! They're not bothered how much it costs the company, or the quality of the tools as long as their life is easier, (easier if you have a massive fleet that is, the same doesn't apply to your average tradie or small company) Hilti tools themselves are TJEP (cheapest of the cheap nailer) and Bosch tools, with a red plastic case on them for which you are charged a 100% to 200% premium ! who in their right mind wants to pay double or triple the price, just to have a red case on something ?

@@rocketmunkey1Most of my Hilti tools came out of a Panasonic or a Hilti plant. Some of it out of Chervon. None of it came from Bosch, but the corded angle grinders and corded drills are indeed nearly identical.

Should I try Hilti for handyman work? I feel like it would be interesting to see if they have something to offer even for people who aren't putting up a skyscraper.

As a now retired union carpenter, Hilti is not just familiar, or even just the industry standard, they are the company every contractor uses! And for the reasons you guys talked about, the quality and state of the art innovation but really, it's their customer service, It is unparalleled in at least from my experience in commercial end of building. They are the top of the heap for good reason. Their stuff isn't cheap (not even close!) but if you have an issue with a tool- no problem, next day or even on the way home swing into your local store -same day replacement! Great if you are a very busy shop and cant afford for things like broken tools to sideline your job.

Hilti is big on fasteners, caulks, fire-retardant solutions and other consumer goods. Typically, Hilti is sold only through one, or a few dealers in a country - unless they do it themselves. I've seen HQ building from the outside in Liechtenstein. It's amazing that such a huge company can grow out of a country with 10 000 people that is the size of a tiny municipality.

I spent a few years in commercial construction (lead carpenter and asst superintendent) and didnt see a Hilti rep once on my job sites. I was always impressed with their tools and knew of their locations and trucks, but saw fewer of my subs using them.

I'm sure it was. The point was, this is a tool brand that literally got involved in a situation that was affecting job productivity, and they willingly jumped in to educate and get the job back on track. I thought that was pretty amazing.

Hoping maybe you guys can get an answer for this question....when is the Hilti multi tool (SMT 6-22) going to actually be available? Last I heard was summer time, well its almost Mid-July and 95* outside...is that summer enough for you Hilti? Thanks

I’m sorry but 280,000 unique contacts with customers per day is a marketing bs, that would mean each employee engages 10 times a day with a customer?! Hilti used to be number one here in Ireland, then the tools got more and more cheaply made and reliability went out the window. They lost a huge amount of customers to Milwaukee , Mikita and Bosch here. People still swear by their drill bits and fasteners though. For me, I appreciate they are finally making more tools and taking a leaf from Milwaukee but it’s too little to late.

I’m sure Hilti makes superb tools, how ever my customer service experience has left something to be desired. Hilti sent me on multiple return trips to their store because they were not qualified in store and I had to speak to a rep for the demo of their products. Over all over 8 hours wasted in travel time total rep wanted me to make yet another trip And burn another 2 hours of my time travelling. I really hope where you’re from they look after you unlike they did in my experience. I really want to be an advocate for hilti but this has left a rather sour taste.

Hilti are just trading on their previous good name, most of their tools are just Bosch professional tools rebranded, and you get charged a 100% markup just for having a red plastic encasement with hilti written on it ! But it gets even worse the £1000 Hilti GX90WF framing nailer, has EXACTLY the same internals as the cheapest off the shelf nailer, a TJEP gun. The same gun also rebranded for Senco, Rawlplug and KMR to name but a few, that you can buy for less than £300 ! Hilti are charging £700 just to have a Hilti Branded cover its outrageous ! Its nothing short of fraud ! The only reason why large companies use Hilti is because lazy managers who know nothing about tools, want to offload their fleet management responsibilities to Hilti, who offer a fleet management service. so the manager can collect their pay check and go off and play golf !

@@rocketmunkey1 What about their cordless drills? The SF 10W-22 seems impressive.
@rocketmunkey1
@rocketmunkey1 7 ай бұрын
@@joeludwig8636 They make good if not the best percussion drills and breakers, (but not as good as they used to be) Milwaukee dewalt and Makita make better combi drills for less, example the SF 10w is 120nm compared to the Milwaukee 2904-20 158nm The Milwaukee is also considerably smaller at 176mm vs the sf10w which is 264mm, which is huge, you'd expect it to be more powerful but it isn't. I think a lot of Hilti other tools are simply rebranded tools from various other manufactures, case in point the GX90WF nailer, being a cheap TJEP nailer underneath. I wouldn't buy one especially at their super high prices.
